Kinda got bored in class. Typed up ‘bored’ in google and this website kept popping up. Eventually got interested and recently made an account. It’s been really cool to just see this community that I personally never new existed. In a span of 1 month I became part of it. Anyways I wanted to put up random posts about my life and stuff. Noticed LGBT was totally accepted and wanted to write bout my coming out to friends and some family. Hope you enjoy. :p)
I am currently 13 yrs old (8th grade). I realized I was a LGBT member when i was 11 ( 6th grade) because I had a crush on my best friend… how cliche… Before I realized my feelings I was 100% straight cis- girl. When I finally figured out my nervouseness was more that just for a friend I realized I was bisexual.
Now I was 30% straight 70% gay but still very cisgender.
She was out to me as lesbian and i realized i had a shot of being in a realationship with her. The only problem? My mom…
I only lived with my mom my whole life so we were pretty close which freaked me the heck out for her to be non-accepting. When I was younger we would alway joke like I would say ” I love my friends” ( my friends being mostly girls) and my mom would respond with ” And it’s okay if you are.”
Honestly I look back at it now and realize how supportive she was and I never saw her having any problems with my childhoods friends parents ( both being moms to their daughter)
Eventually I decided to ask out my crush and come out to my mom. ..
I asked out ( im not telling thier real name so we will call her…) Eliza. She immeadiatly said yes and we were dating. That afternoon I came up with a plan to come out to my mom… a note… what is up with these terrible cliches…
I wrote ” Mom I’m bisexual and im now dating Eliza.” It was late when I was still awake and I put said note in the shower rack with all the soaps. I knew that was where she would got as soon as she woke up and she did. We didn’t talk much that morning until the car drive to school. She looked at me in the rearveiw mirror and started to do that eyebrow thing that people do to make fun of someone. She broke the silence with ” soooo… you and Eliza?” and i simply responded with “yep” She looked back at the road and said ” nice” and again i responded ” yep”
After a while I felt like she was spending more time with her friends then with me so we broke up…
I dated a few other people when something different happened. Eventually I moved on and went to 7th grade…One of my friends came out as FtM. Then Eliza came out as FtM too… Alot of my friends were LGBT and it was amazing…. Then there is my coming out again…
One day I was at a football game to hang out with some friends when a guy ( who was in the same Ela class with me) told me I looked like a guy. I just kind of laughed it off but the thought diluded my mind for alot of restless nights, ” Me? A guy? No wayy… Well…”
After a while I decided these thoughts were not leaving my mind so I went to a friend I trusted 1000% ( lets call her ) Amber.
I told her I was confused about my gender and things like that. She gave me good advice because she felt the same way… this stayed between us but i started to call her Evan and i was now Lance ( those are the real names because they didn’t stick)
Christmas break came and Evan didn’t come to school anymore… I asked around and they all said he moved to Mexico…
I began to be self consious again but no one else new and i was kinda scared. Eventually I decided it was the day… The day I would come out…

I wanted to come out to my friend since 4th grade first. I saw her in p.e. 2nd pd. I told her I was FtM and she made a huge squealing and giggling scene. I asked her to keep this on the DL and she agreed. She asked if I needed anything to make this easier. I actually needed 2 things.
1. I wanted a new name since Lance was basically only for Evan to use. We both brainstormed the the result?.. Mason ( only my name will be real bc this is my acct)
2. I asked if she would tell this guy we both knew since 6th grade. She said as soon as she sees him she’ll tell him.
Later that week ‘A’ day game again ( blocked scedule) and my 1st pd was where i saw him ,(i was the only one who called him) Drew . I walked in the door and he was in his seat staring at me dead in the eyes… he got up and walked over to me…
YOU'VE dated others?! JESUS IM LIKE YOUR AGE HAVE HAD TWO SERIOUS CRUSHES (one is my best friend, how cliched) STILL SINGLE HERE! HOW IS YOUR ROMANCE LIFE SO PACKED AT 13?!
by the time i was twelve, i had 15 boyfriends (separately) but it's ok, you'll find someone. just be brave and ask out someone. what bad could come of it?
