Not every change has to be a bad one. During the coronavirus crisis, many horrible things happened around the world, but every change brings us a tad of hope that keeps us going. The same happened to the fashion industry. Even though the shops were closed, not everything is as bad as it seems as the people of the Moscow show definitely rocked outfits that were hard to miss!
If Morpheus asked, I guess she'd take the red pill, not the blue one :p
We all know that, through clothes and accessories, individuals can make a statement and show a little bit of their inner persona. Street style helps people to demonstrate their multiple identities, in addition to utilizing subcultural and intersecting styles or trends. This, in itself, is a performance, as you can always put on a little show that suits your mood.
At first glance I thought he had his own face tattooed on his arm :p
Street style is an incredibly viral, instant, addictive facet of fashion that’s changed the ways in which fashion is made and consumed. With Instagram bursting in popularity, no wonder images of people randomly walking through the streets and taking random pictures became so popular. It’s supposed to be fun and energetic, combining fashion through its own language.
I'm surprised he didn't get harassed/threatened for wearing the flower crown-A LOT of Russians are homophobic and if you don't display how much of a mach man you are with your appearance, it can turn hostile quickly
She may look cute and sweet, but clearly she's a hardened criminal. Why else would she have TWO ankle monitors?
You probably had your own street style evolution and today you probably wonder why you wore what you wore in a specific time of your life.
Styles change, but let us tell you something – revolution is on and we are sure that, even today, you can rock your retro street style and feel stylish, secure, confident, and fresh. Shine bright every day!
I’m not loving the lewk, but I do love the lipstick tying the whole outfit together.
half and half pants pretty cool red shirt, red shoes would have tied it together!
Like an early 2000's Cameron Diaz-esque feel to it...makes me want to watch the Holiday or listen to Dido!

I honestly don't see how these styles are different from other adventurous dressers in other European countries. They would fit in in pretty much any European city without sticking out.
All of the Americans trying to be funny - you do realize you live worse than they currently? I could bring a suitcase of normal, free insulin or ambulance rides and you would give me everything you have? And you do realise that you dress worse than the rest of the planet?
I agree 100%! And I don't see any grossly overweight people and the subjects in this presentation all seem to be wearing shoes that are made for walking. I really liked what I saw, lots of style and not the drab conformity we are lead to expect from Russia.
Same. They look decent (mostly). Some of them I even like and would wear myself.
I was led to believe it was street photography, not random people in clothes that caught his eye.
Love how they all have their own sense of style. Unfortunately in UK everybody dresses like an army of H&M's and Primark's.
it's a pity that not a single commentator understood why Russians wear shoes with just such a sole
Well then it would be very kind of you to explain.
You see the same outfits and accessories here near me in the US. Yes, we have a good amount of Russian immigrants but everyone dresses this way around here. These outfits are pretty average.

What it has to do with Russian immigrants is that the photos are FROM Moscow. The photos are not OF Moscow, as you say. No pics of buildings there. They are pics of the people. The inhabitants. The caption of the thread is "Moscow Street Fashion". Are they tourists in Moscow or are they native to the city / the country, we don't know. But, they don't appear overtly 'touristy' to me eg no big cameras, no one using their cell to snap pics, no one carrying lots of shopping bags of souvenirs and of course, tourists don't walk their dogs because they can't bring their dogs without a lengthy quarantine for the animal. You saying it could be Beijing or Paris proves my point when I say these outfits are pretty average and are what we see here, not just on Russian immigrants but on EVERYONE. It looks like pics from a typical city here. Capisce?
Do we know if any of these people gave permission to have their candid photos posted online?
Public not for profit photographs are fair game. Otherwise imagine the absolute massive number of social media pictures taken in public spaces would literally ALL have to be taken down because of random strangers who happen to be in frame. Living in a big touristy city (of which Moscow is one) people may get photographed (in public spaces) so its not a real thing.
Actually public for profit is also fair game. Even in Russia.
there is a difference between being accidentily in the background or being the main "subject" of a picture, at least it is for me.
Sucks to be you.

So no different to any other city really. Most of the people look like model's smiling for the camera.
The 90's are back
Remember when you could visit that city with a suitcase of blue jeans and swap them for all kinds of souvenirs?
Back then, you could swap a pair of 501 Levi's for a car.
Am i supposed to wearing denim? I didn't realize it was this back-in-style...
My favorite compliment came from my waiter. He noticed my red headphones and Pokédex phone case matched my A Little Bit Dramatic (men's tank) shirt from Mean Girls. I forget what else I was wearing, but I like to think he was being genuine in this sushi restaurant I have never seen with three tables taken. He was so cute, maybe that's why I didn't see it. I should go back
Some interesting, but on the whole, too much fabric.
Wide legged pants are the thing to wear when visiting. Cool photos.
Wow! Who knew the Ruskies were so stylish!
I feel like I traveled 25-30 years in the past.

Honestly, you can look as good as you want, but if you have a cigarette in your hand, that's all I can see. Wrecks everything.
