Daughter Shares Hilarious Cat Updates She Receives From Her Mom While She Stays Over At Her BF’s House
Don’t lie. You would do anything to never part with your fluffy ball who, well, would not necessarily be on the same boat. It manipulates you constantly when in need of food, ignores you when you want to pet it, and bothers you while you sleep. And yet you never let a day pass without that cutie-pie on your lap.
This cat parent named Anlyin is lucky to have a mom who made it, quite literally, virtually possible. Every time Anlyin stays at her boyfriend’s place, the stream of furry updates starts coming in. From a rare rectangular cat sighting to the morning lump posture, there’s nothing that gets away from the purrnews feed. Where do we sign up for the cat updates?

We’d like to think that cats, just like humans and dogs, have separation anxiety. However, this research suggested that felines are much more independent companions than we thought. The researchers observed 20 cats who were placed in a foreign environment in three different scenarios: alone, with their owner, and with a stranger. Daniel Mills, professor of veterinary behavioral medicine at the University of Lincoln, concluded that “even if cats were more vocal when the owner rather than the stranger left them, we didn’t see any additional evidence” that suggests a secure attachment between a cat and its owner. Your furball’s longing stare could have been all in your head.

Load More Replies...There was a time where my indoor/outdoor cat was on house arrest, and I was staying at my bf's place. He had already been on his 5th day of not being able to go out side when my mom sent me a picture of him drinking out of the kitchen sink. " Hes out of control!" I had to leave and go home lol.

So why does our housemate's cat follow us around the house after we come back from a few days away, meowing repeatedly, leg stropping us, marking us with her face, and, as soon as we sit down, she sits on our laps and literally holds our hands with her paws? She DEFINITELY missed us despite the three bowls..
Nope. Cats have separation anxiety. If food bowl not filled just enough, 1 anxiety level. If water dish not filled to correct amount, 1 anxiety level. If catnip not supplied, 1 anxiety level. If litter box not emptied, 1 anxiety level. If music not turned on to drown out scaredy sounds, 1 anxiety level. Etc., etc, etc.. Adding up omissions in cat's anxious mind equals amount of &/or level of chaos/destruction/poop to be found upon return of pet's servant. In a nutshell, cat is saying, "How dare you abandon Me without fully preparing for your departure!"
