Mom Regrets Buying Her Kid A Scream-Activated Spider Toy From Amazon After Learning How It Works
Christmas gifts shopping season is in full swing, and you may be on the lookout for nice gifts for the children in your life. Alabama mom Hilary Hard, 22, was sure that she had found the perfect children toy for her son Leo, a scream-activated cute spider that could keep the energetic toddler entertained for hours. Having received the audio-activated arachnid early, she couldn’t resist trying it out.

After uploading her funny fail on Facebook, the post quickly went viral. “I’m so glad my little man made you laugh and impressed you with his bravery,” Hilary wrote in response. “You can imagine how lucky I am to be Leo’s mom. He’s hilarious and full of heart and I can’t wait to share with him, when he’s older, how many people he made laugh. There’s an overwhelming amount of attention that’s come our way recently and I just want to thank you all for sharing the moment with us!”

The kid’s toys, known as Yellies! have since increased in price and appear to be selling like hotcakes. Voice and sound-activated, they respond to talking, yelling, clapping, singing, and even music. The louder you yell, the faster the spider toys go! Every year there seems to be some kind of ‘must-have’ toy that your children will be demanding, from Furbies to Bratz, we’ve seen them all. Could this be the 2018 version? Would you buy your child one of these or rather stick to the old-fashion plush toys? Let us know what you think in the comments!

That’s evil! (and that’s probably exactly what I would do)
Load More Replies...So this is literally a toy that causes screaming competitions? Who's idea was this?
The recommended age is 5 and above and this boy looks clearly much younger. At his young age children are easily scared and shouldn't get such a present.
My folks took me to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre at the drive-in when I was 5. I think this kid will survive a toy spider, lol.
Load More Replies...This is the type of toy my mom would refer to as a "mother killer." It's intended to be fun, but in reality it's loud and/or obnoxious.
No. It's a quiet toy.. the kids are the loud/obnoxious ones :)
Load More Replies...no this is lucas the spider's evil cousin. he likes chasing and scaring children, consuming polar bear dogs, and breaking harps that took a very long time to make. lucas and his cousin don't get along.
Load More Replies...I was going to get my noisy children one. But as it said above it'll just turn into a who can scream the loudest lol.
I saw this and bought one for my granddaughter....she won't be scared, and her mother is going to give me the glare of death. Then we can go home. Totally worth it.
Wait, so it senses you screaming and then follows after you? The robot uprising is soon. Soon....
OK. You may want to sit down. I looked this up and found it on Amazon and here is a comment by "David Angel" The same paragraph here is written by him, who is the liar? Here is the link... https://www.amazon.com/Yellies-Flufferpuff-Voice-Activated-Spider-Ages/dp/B07FMCX3V8

Load More Replies...A toy that requires children to scream at it?! Sounds like a hard pass to me!
Why am I not surprised that the price increased after it got FREE ADVERTISING. Inadvertently on the mother's part... but yet another reason to be disgusted by Amazon
This made me laugh extremely hard, I'm a bad person. Upgote if you agree, I'm just curious!
Just show the Lucas the Spider videos on you tube.... he'll get over the scare. Lucas is cute
ok so I was at five below cuz I rode there on my bike, and I saw yellies. so I bought it and said out loud "My friend Dakota would like that." Later that week, me & Dakota had a sleepover at my house. I showed it to her and she screamed and ran upstairs. I also put a ramp on the stairs so the toy could run up it. in literally fifteen minutes of Dakota running and screaming and me laughing at her, she fell on the floor and started crying. I was still laughing. I don't regret this.
My cousin's kids scream so loudly, the spider toy would probably run faster than Usain Bolt :D
Main reason I think he was so scared is she didn't introduce the toy to him first and explain what it did,if she had he probably would have had fun with it.
My godmother has a dog. The dog has a plush toy that screams when being bitten by the dog. It's supper funny to hear "Ow! No no no... Oh you better not! My tummy!" and the sort when the doggo munches the toy. Plot twist: It was bought at a child store. So way to go producer to teach kids violence...
Holy c**p i heard about these. I mean just imagine running down the hall and seeing this coming after you and then you start screaming!
No way cause some kids r scared of spiders i will let our kid decide
Frank just bought one as a gag Christmas gift for my (30 yr.old) daughter whom hates spiders! This will be better than candy corn! I can't wait!
I'd buy like 100 and scream and... you'd know buy were do you buy those
I was impressed that the boy picked it up and threw it. He's not going to be one of those kids who need a safe place in college. He's very brave.
There is a special place in hell for the inventor of this toy! And it will be a living hell if you get this for your kid.
As an arachnophobe since a very early age, I can think of nothing more cruel and terrifying to give a child. Especially a sensitive one. This isn't about "snowflakes" and "being too soft" on kids. If you know your kid is easily scared or is already afraid of spiders, just don't go there. Don't. Unless you truly want them to have years of expensive therapy as an adult.
