Hi! I'm an Italian freelance illustrator, at the moment living in Mexico City. I work with magazines by mail, mostly for USA, Italia, and Mexico. I work in mixed media traditional plus digital program.

I think it's more about the pharmaceutical industry here in the US. No regulation over pricing + capitalism ends people dying because they can't afford ridiculously priced medication.

my baby had to be operated at 7 months. I did not spend a single euro on it. the money comes from the taxes I and others pay every year. I'm so glad my taxes will pay for other babies and old/ sick people in the future. That's why I llike our french healthcare system (even if it's not perfect). In america, I can't begin tio imagine what I sould have collected to pay that kind of operation!
I hope your child is doing OK. That has to be difficult to go through that.

I hate how true this is. Personally, I think if this is the choice we need a third. Legal medical suicide. If a man would rather end his life and collect on his life insurance in order to not drive his family into poverty they never knew, that should be his right.
If you can afford having proper housing, water and a good diet; either wise so fall ill and can't afford medical care. Long live tje evil.

My immediate association for this pic was something else - I felt like society has sunk low enough to the point that a person would watch with a bored face a reality TV show ( Big brother style) of prisoners suffer in jail. Even more specifically the prisoner is trying to reach for help from the "healthy" part of society but gets blocked by a transparent wall and a bored face.

sometimes you need the picture to see the written words and find new perspective
there should be illustrations about artists and celebrities beating dead horses...
this medium is both vapid and oversaturated none of this is "deep" and it equates to "You darned young people with your internets and instasnaps"
It actually takes a brilliant mind to be able to illustrate thoughts that are relatable to the populous. Bravo.
I do like the art style too! However, never think that people are "stupid", Mimikyu, they aren''t, they just perceive things differently from you :).
