Man Gets Reunited With His 19-Year-Old Cat 7 Years After He Went Missing
After 7 long years since the adorable tabby named Chebon went missing, the hope to find him was scarce. Robert probably already came to peace with the thought that he’ll never see his little buddy again until he received a life-changing call. Apparently, a kind stranger reached out to tell him that his beloved feline is safe and sound and can’t wait to see him again! It’s safe to say that after going through tremendous heartbreak, Robert experienced something that could only be described as a miracle.

The adorable cat went missing years ago, right before Robert was planning on moving from California to Ohio. The devastated owner decided to ditch his plans and stayed in California for the whole year looking for his missing pal, but to no avail.
“I remember at one point I was praying and I said, ‘God, I’ll do anything, just bring my Chebon back,’” Robert said in a video posted on the Ventura County Animal Services. The cat seemed to have disappeared forever and Robert had no other choice than to move on.
Then 7 years later, a woman spotted a cat who looked ill, so she decided to catch the animal and take him to the vet. Luckily, the cat she found had a microchip, and in an instant, they knew who is the owner of the 19-year-old cat who had been living in the streets for years. That’s when Robert received a call saying that his cat was alive.
“I was afraid there was some kind of mistake,” Robert said in the reunion video. The man decided to hop on a plane and fly all the way from Los Angeles to see his old pal.
After finally seeing the cat, Robert immediately recognized his buddy and burst into tears. After all these years, the two friends were back together. The touching moment was captured by the animal shelter and instantly went viral, leaving so many people in tears.

Share on Facebook19 is sincerely old for a kitty, & the fact he / she survived the streets for 7 years. Great story!
The cat really looks fit and healthy, but that's after it got care, of course. My oldest cat lived to become 21, some months later he had a stroke. I found the poor thing on the bathroom floor when I got back from work, still alive, but barely. The vet told me that cats don't recover from a stroke, so he was put to sleep. *sniff* However, there are rare cases of cats that live much longer, up to 30 and more.

110% agree! I love both cats and dogs, and whenever I meet other dog owners with their dogs and both begin to play, conversations with the dog owners are always very lovely and friendly.
Load More Replies...I am so happy that this man was able to be reunited with his cat. Hopefully they will be able to spend many more years together.
I love this!!! The look on the guys face...I can just feel the love he has for the little guy! Thank you for posting this Bored Panda!!!
And here come the waterworks in 3,2,1. So happy these two were reunited!
So touching. I'm glad they mentioned registering the microchip online, that's the step far too many people don't understand. You can find free sites to do it. We check every so often that the registration for our pets is current.
I hope he ensures his baby can’t run away again in his new home.
Microchip save the day! (Make sure to update the microchip info when you move.)
When I see stories like this, I wonder about the calico that disappeared while staying with a friend of mine. I doubt I will see her again, though.
I dont understand why those chips didnt show the animal´s location
The chip doesn't track the animal. It's just like a collar under their skin telling them who the owner is and how to contact them.

" Luckily, the cat she found had a microchip" . Not luck Good humans, owner learnt how to care best. Cat friend stranger knew to get the cat's chip checked. GOOD humans. ! so glad to see how this system works.
If this story moves you ( i takes a tissue , passes the box ) consider supporting/ starting a TNR program: to save lives and to reduce severe misery. >>>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L50sMy1EFKU&t=49s<<<<<<<<< yeah I am pushing this idea. Because i think it is so great.

Let's shoot a click worthy video. So everyone should just wait. This is ridiculous. I am really happy for the couple. But it's insane how humans can't just enjoy a moment without filming, commenting, staging it. I'm sorry but this irritates me.
Awwwwww :) :) Note to everyone: I have no idea how this guy got lost, but KEEP YOUR F*****G CATS INSIDE.
So you want it to be a caged animal? They clearly want to experience the outdoors, so denying them the thing they want most is rather cruel. If you love an animal, you want it to be happy. You can walk cats if you train them young enough. Best of both worlds!
