Thank you, I was too quick to judge, not as attention whore per se, but I'd think this would be a private matter only for their families and close friends. It's not really, when both are in the entertainment industry and it would come up on interviews down the line. Also possibly help other families in the same situation, terrible things happen to the rich and famous as well

The question is, however, why anyone but close family and friends would wonder about the baby? Likely because the life of these people was broadcasted on social media already. Do not get my wrong: I feel deeply sorry for parents who experience a miscarriage. I understand that for Ms. Reifen social media postings are a way of coping. However, if your life exists to be featured on social media, and as you now imply she could not even chose not to post because of questions asked, the balance of privacy and publicity has been lost a long time ago.

Oh please she is a attention whore whether she does this knowingly or not. If she wanted to avoid questions a simple tweet of" had miscarriage d/t complications, need space", was enough. Certainly no need for professional photoshoot of their "pain". WHO DOES THAT? She posted it in black and white and completely angled ,complete with hugging and sad hand holding, in reality u would not care. U would likely be numb or going ballistic from crying not act how pain and support is "supposed " to look like. The pics r Not at all how a amature would take it. MEANING a professional was called and she POSED to show how it is "done". It's revolting TNX god the kid died, with parents like this. She is beyond unbelievable. But being in industry does make u like this. Attention seeking whores at any cost. In reality She doesn't feel anything but just simply bummed out. Nobody posts the pics of their dead baby on social media, certainly not publically. Last I checked privacy was possible.

People have different ways of coping, so one can't really pass judgement. A lot of women suffer miscarriages, and it's honestly a shocking amount that most aren't even aware of. This is something not taught in schools (here, in the US, at least). Not much is taught about pregnancy, period. All in all, I too hate social media on a personal level, but I can't judge someone on their method of grieving. You don't know what they're going through or how they're thinking.

Miscarriage and infant loss is still taboo in a lot of society so talking about publicly can actually help others talk about it. I actually think it is quite important for things like this to be talked about so we don’t have to suffer silently. I found great comfort in talking to others with similar experiences when I had my ectopic pregnancy coz it meant I wasn’t alone.

In this case, this will be helping many women who have had a miscarriage to feel that they are not alone and are not 'broken'. A miscarriage will make a woman feel like they have done something wrong, that their body has failed them in a way that is way beyond their control... it's very debilitating and very traumatic... While sharing such intimate moments in the public sphere can be frowned upon, I'm glad she did it. It's helping many to bond and heal. She is using her platform to help others by highlighting that this can happen to anyone - no matter the circumstances and that there should be no guilt or shame attached to it.

I understand why you wouldn't do it (and I wouldn't either, personally) but I still think that it's good that if she's sharing all the great stuff she's sharing the heartbreaking too. And considering how many women say they now feel more heard and seen, I can't see it as a bad thing overall even though I would do it differently myself.

There are celebrities who shun all publicity, and those who go the other way. Chrissy Tiegen needs publicity because of the type of celeb she is - selling cookbooks etc, she needs the exposure. As that type of celeb, this is her way of taking charge of the narrative. If she puts it all out there, then there is no space for invasive press/paparazzi trying to get photos. She's already done it, and in a way where she gets to control the message. I'm desperately sorry for her, and it's not nice to be critical of someone on such a bleak moment. However, she has decided that she will live in the public eye, and that means she has embraced every single part of that, including such an awful thing that many people believe should be private. She knows, however, that she has no chance of keeping anything private, so she has taken this approach. I respect her decision.

Ivan, having watched friends go through this, and the devastating isolation & shame they feel because it is NOT discussed...... sharing the experiences of such trauma, helps to remove the isolation, shame, and guilt that are felt unnecessarily, in a circumstance that could not be controlled. Same reason why special needs kids are no longer hidden away. Same reason why rape victims speak out. Same reason why domestic abuse victims speak out. Same reason why assault victims speak out. Same reason why those with mental health issues speak out. Same reason why those other than cis-gender heterosexuals speak out. Same reason why unwed parents speak out. Same reason why unmarried couples speak out. Same reason why women wanting to vote speak out. Same reason why those wanting equal rights speak out. Same reason why those wanting education speak out.... Because sharing the experience, removes the shame, and can make things better for everyone.

There is no "supposed" in life. Ppl can do whatever they want. Just bc you wouldnt doesnt make it wrong.

I had similar thoughts as yours, but then, considering these people are actual celebrities, maybe the whole event was followed on camera to start with, and they simply didn't disapprove. Maybe they hoped for a happy ending story. They seem to be very used to publicity, so, to make reason out of this situation, I imagine it was like "since we have pictures, let's share it", rather than the other way around.

Yeah, I agree. Sharing is caring? I'd say sharing is scaring in some cases. I'm sure she has plenty of friends (don't all celebs do?) and can afford some professional help...

What a disgusting thing to say. So your saying that everyone who has suffered a miscarriage, or any type of loss and suffering is due to “Lords judgement”. So much for a “loving god”. No wonder more and more people are becoming non believers with this stupid drivel.

She was putting her story out there for people to feel less alone. Not for attention and not to 'stay in the spotlight'. Also she got no money or reward for posting her story so she didn't 'sell her soal'. I'm pretty sure if u had a soal u wouldn't comment like this on such a sad and very real matter.
