If you've spent a decent amount of time on the Internet, you've probably developed a healthy skepticism – you shouldn't always believe what you see online, because it's fairly easy to falsify with Photoshop. These images, however, will turn your caution on its head – though all of these images look like they might be fake, each is 100% real!
Some of these images are of unexpected coincidences or exotic locations, but many also involve works of art intentionally designed by artists to subvert our certainty in what is real.
If you've ever seen something in real life that looked like it couldn't possibly be real, we'd love to see it too! Add it to this list and upvote your favorites as well.

Hausmannian Building On Georges V Ave. In Paris
Everybody saying image is fake, it is not. This is a picture of the 39 George V building in Paris during it's renovation in 2007. A canvas was placed over the building to hide it during renovation. It is an art form "trompe l'oeil".
Love it. I'd would of love to seen it in person. Love painting in trompe l'oeil style.
Load More Replies...I hope that inside the walls and floors will be normal, or it would be impossible to live there!
This is actually a huge canvas put up by the people who are renovating the building!
Makes me think of that famous line from the Wizard of Oz - I'm meeeeeltiiiiinggggg......
who needs the beach when u can catch the wave and remain high and dry on land!
This is so cool. The classical Haussmannian building in Paris is being renovated and the owner hired Athem, a specialist in temporary architecture, to create a screen to hide the renovation. The trompe l'oeil (literally - 'fool the eye') facade is made of printed canvas and bas-relief sculpture of polystyrene, resin, and metal. The wavy windows and twisted balconies are an architectural equivalent of Salvador Dali's Persistence of Memory. Cool because it allows us to see familiar surroundings in a new way - to see possibilities and to make connections. Located at 39 Avenue George V in the 8th Arrondissement, Paris. i November
Actually, IT IS not real. It is printed canvas by ATHEM (http://www.athem-skertzo.com/) to hide the renovations. (http://untappedcities.com/2011/07/06/the-melting-trompe-loeil-from-2008/, http://03408a2.netsolhost.com/WordPress/2007/07/01/archive-2007/)
