You Need A Separate App Just To Read Messages
If you don't have enough space on your phone for the Messenger app - Facebook allows you to read them via the old set up.
I'm not sure how it works, but I read most messenger messages on FB on my computer no problem, but occasionally I get one that says I have to DL the app and it won't show up on FB for me. I refuse to DL the app, so I just don't get to read the message.

Omg yes. I dont even use the Facebook app. I use the web browser to view faceboook.
I have much better things to store in my phone then an app that used to be part of a different program there is no reason that I can see why they needed to change it now my games no download on my phone cuz I have to have stupid messenger

It works in Facebook Lite App :) and it costs just a few MB in your phone ;)
Use the FB lite app. It looks ugly but you can read the messages, you'll get used to it eventually.
When I had Facebook, I used it in my browser to read messages. No need for two apps.
I used to just read them on facebook through the web browser. Now you can't even do that. It demands you install messenger now. B@stards.
I hate facebook messenger! I hate it even more nowadays, because people have forgotten the concept of actually calling people or just sending a normal SMS. It really shits me! I give my number to my friends for a reason, I don't want people inboxing me, if they have my number. If they don't have it, go ahead and send an inbox.

I also dont like how its forcing you to download the app.. and every time when i see this i am like "hell no! get away from me!" .......... I downloaded Opera Mini Browser in to my phone and the messages are working fine, even its a bit slow, still better than annoying messenger.
I hate the messenger, but if you dont have it, the attempts to get you to download the app drive you crazy! If you dont have the app (on my device anyway), you have to use talk to text because the keyboard won't work right! UGH!!!
Why do people have a problem with this? Before you used your texting app or whatsapp.

A few of these I can see being annoying, but at the same time I understand a few of them, and why they MAY have happened. The Coca Cola, I've had to be the one who caused that. Diabetes. Low blood sugar. Needed something fast. as for the ear buds. Those damned squishy pieces are always falling off and getting lost. Have to either A: Replace it with a different size / color or B: Give in and spend more $$$ on a new pair.
