Since then, the presidential house delivers lavish Christmas decorations each year, to inspire the festive spirit of the US citizens. And as gorgeous as the White House Christmas used to be, it all changed when President Trump's wife, Melania Trump, got her chance to deck the halls. Thanks to the First Lady, this year's Christmas decorations inspired so many funny memes, that even we here at Bored Panda, had difficulty in narrowing them down to one list. It started after Melania Trump's Communications Director, Stephanie Grisham, tweeted a photo of the White House's festive decorations, to which the people responded by hilariously poking fun at what looks like a Tim Burton-designed Christmas horror anti-wonderland.

Christmas began as a after thought to celebrate the birth if Jesus, so the pagan and Jewish converts wouldn't be tempted to revert to their old celebrations, thus Christmas nearly coincides with Hanukkah and Easter with Passover. The early Christian elders wanted to keep their flocks interested by giving them celebrations close to those they had had before.

I have seen the full photoshoot of all decorated rooms that were enabled for photographing and this whole article on BP is very hurting and unjust. Other rooms are lovely, warm, you can feel the Christmas spirit. She engaged children in helping. She did the best she could, with taste, lovely big chistmas trees, red ribbons and I simply fell in love with the hall with trees in fake snow. it's gorgeous. All you haters should be ashamed of yourself for judgeing only basing on one picture.

I truly like the decorations. Both by day, and night. During the day it's bright and shiny, like fresh snow fallen. At night, it's as if the same frosh snow has fallen and they are illuminated from the base. I can see how people would view them as creepy, but to me, they are very nice.

Jonathan Milne Interesting that Melania chose to use all that white, even in her outfit as she stands staring blankly at the ballerinas (artistically, that fell flat, thanks to her lack of expression). White is cold, sterile, and pure white does not exist in nature. Considering what darkness lives in her husband's heart and soul with racism, vengeance, and hatred, the term "whitewash" comes to mind.
Guys chill. I think that this is just a photo at night. Yes, the day pictures look a little better (I'm still not a fan personally) but the night still comes, so there is a time of day where it will look that scary. And yes, I am sure there are many other rooms but that doesn't change the fact that this room, to some people, is odd and not-Christmas-like. Again, this is all opinion! I'm not too fond of the long row of bare trees, but it looks artsy and dramatic. The rest of the White House decorations are beautiful and elegant. Other rooms are lovely, warm, you can feel the Christmas spirit. She engaged children in helping. She did the best she could, with taste, lovely big chistmas trees, red ribbons and I simply fell in love with the hall with trees in fake snow. it's gorgeous. I truly like the decorations. Both by day, and night. During the day it's bright and shiny, like fresh snow fallen. At night, it's as if the same frosh snow has fallen and they are illuminated from the base. I can see how people would view them as creepy, but to me, they are very nice.

I don't understand comments like this, your picture was taken during the day the one on here that was uploaded on Twitter by one of her staff is showing the same hall at night. Things getting darker at night is a natural process, not liberal lies. With all that said I think she's done the best job I've seen of anyone who has decorated the white house, one photo coming out a little creppy at night(I still think it looks cool) and people having a laugh is not going to upset any well adjusted person, If she's normal then she's probably laughting at some of these herself.

I'm not too fond of the long row of bare trees, but it looks artsy and dramatic. The rest of the White House decorations are beautiful and elegant.
