Dogs Are Not Allowed On NYC Subway Unless They’re In A Carrier…So This Happened

Some rules are meant to be followed, and some are expected to be broken. The regulations, in this case, are clear when it comes to carrying animals on the NYC subway. “No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container.” It looks like there’s no room for interpretation, right? But the New York subway rules say nothing about the size of the animal or the form of the dog carrier, and as you can see from this picture, some people are quick to exploit that fact to avoid a fine for not following the rules of public transport use.
This guy and his husky were recently captured riding the subway by CBS news producer Alex Romano, and it’s hard not to smile when you look at it. Perhaps it’s the not-so-covert nature of the operation. Perhaps it’s the casual pose. Or perhaps it’s simply the fact that the guy is carrying a large dog in a tote bag. Whatever the reason, we love it.
Scroll down below to check the genius solution for large dog breed specimens to travel in the NYC subway; it may give you a hint if you are experiencing a similar situation with your pet dog and public transportation, too.

He’s not the first person to sneak an over-sized commuting canine onto a subway however…

We cannot be responsible for what others understand... only for what they read. I say HOORAY for them if they can safely transport their loved animal to where it needs to go. A lot of New Yorkers don't have cars and this IS their only mode of transport. I'm glad to see it works, beats leaving the dog where it isn't safe. :D
At least they're not leaving the animals all alone for the whole day!
It's just a stupid rule !
Actually a good rule... Lessen the chance of fecal matter and urine being everywhere.
Have you been on a New York subway? The fecal matter and urine was there before the dogs. LOL!
That's just an excuse. I come from Luxembourg, where dogs are allowed in public transportation for free. All without poop and urine.
If the people would just be civilized we wouldn't have such problems
R U kidding me??? There is a lot more of that stuff of human origin in inappropriate places than that of canine origin. As I said, there are many places where dogs are not allowed where I wish dogs WERE allowed but some people were NOT allowed.
Bad rule you know what if you had a dog that isn't potty trained you wouldn't take it on a subway I mean who would common sense!!!
I suspect the issue is less poop & pee and more biting & lawsuits. The US is a very litigious society and the poor MTA would be out of money in a month.
Where I live dogs are allowed on trains, buses and in taxis (don't have subways here) and not even once have I heard that there was a problem with dog shit or urine. Drunks and car sick people throwing up however, that's a problem that occur every now and then. So by your logic, it would be a good rule to ban humans from subways and other public transportation.
Well trained dogs never do in any vehicles, trains and planes. My dog, Pochi, a beagle was patient for 14 hours plus plane ride from JFK to HND/NRT Japan many times. No fault ever.
It's not the dogs urinating in the subways
