Guy Asks For Help On Twitter After Someone Keys His Tesla For No Reason And People Deliver
It‘s not everyday someone dares to step out of line, but when one does, they usually make sure not to get caught. Well, at least take a second to look around for the cameras that might be watching. But surely enough, not everyone is this careful. Some just jump in with their mischief trying to be swift and quick. Just as this man did when keying someone else’s Tesla. Little did he know he should have to think twice before doing that because the recordings from the good old Tesla are what got him into trouble. Scroll down for the whole story!
This guy, Justice Frimpong, posted on Twitter about someone keying his Tesla
My Tesla Model 3 was keyed by this guy in the Bay Area… Likes and RTs appreciated pic.twitter.com/vQo7j5isBc

After he posted two still shots from the videos, his Tesla’s motion sensor cameras filmed the man keying his car, and the good people on Twitter advised him to look up all the cameras in hopes that at least one of them caught the direction of where the man was coming from and maybe even the license plate of his car.
Following Twitter’s advice, he went to the police with the footage
Who were able to catch the criminal who denied everything at first but when the police told him they have the footage, it jogged his memory
Sentry mode is 😍 @elonmusk
But still smh pic.twitter.com/hUYQiPTSLK— Justice Frimpong (@IIJustSupremeII) 22 October 2019
Luckily for Mr. Frimpong, the license plate of the criminal was indeed visible from one camera and therefore he was able to provide the police with a solid lead to the criminal.

He said that the man denied all blame at first: “With [the license plate] they were able to find him, and at first, he couldn’t remember being there, but when the cops told him they had the footage, it suddenly jogged his memory. He then confessed and “apologized”…” Frimpong also added: “So, in the end, I talked to my insurance, and he will pay for the damages.” Let’s consider this a happy ending to yet another Tesla keying story and yip yip hooray for the technology of sensor cameras and the kind people of the Internet!
People on the Internet were in disbelief

If done to a stranger. When it's done to a bully, well.......... No crime is ok and all ultimately are pointless.
Load More Replies...Why the f**k would you do that? What a miserable life you must lead to key in a random stranger’s electric car that is likely to contribute to the continued survival of your kids and grandkids if we don’t f**k it all up too quick? I’d key that c**t in the f****n eye!
I was surprised that the perp looks like a normal full grown adult not what I imagined a " keyer" would look like. Guess it's another preconceived notion shot to hell.
You'd be surprised who might do such a thing. My psuedo-foster son told me after a night out that he'd taken a young woman out. She got drunk. He was walking her back to her apartment and she veered across the parking lot and suddenly keyed a guy's car. She was laughing and giggling because he was of Hmong or Vietnamese ancestry. I'm sure she seemed like a "normal" young 20-year old as first impression when she wasn't drunk. On a side note: She was a mess, and he wouldn't leave her since she was drunk and he was worried. I told him he had no obligation to her at that point, and should have just left her or she could get him in a lot of trouble (and also should have called the police). He didn't listen, because he went homeless after giving his damage deposit to a woman running from abuse. He was hit and killed by a car late one night while walking to the store from his hideout he was staying at until he could save up again.

Jealousy. Mis-dirrected anger. Maybe some eco-warrior cost him his fossil fuel energy job? Maybe the Tesla driver is a prick driver and dude saw him? Maybe dude is just a pos. It's a "choose your own adventure " story. 😁

I have a front and back dashcam with motion sensing. Installed it myself and it was easy. Make sure if you do decide to get one, don't cheap out. You will be glad if anything happens.
My brother-in-law did that, and sure enough, he rear ended someone’s car. The hit was minimal. The bumpers just barely touched each other. The driver of the car he hit, came out and threw her body on the ground and demanded an ambulance. Also, there was a lot of damage from before to her rear bumper which she tried to blame my brother-in-law for. The camera caught everything. Best thing was when she tried to sue him and all the footage made it to court.

What an idiot. I’m so glad he was found. I don’t think he will do that again.
Teslas have like a billion cameras built into them.

Wow second day. Drove to work and home. It's parked in a driveway w camera at the door. Nope you did that one. Next time was a big dent in the bumper. Foot high. From a work boot. He pointed that out. I popped it out w hairdryer. But some people are just a******s an love to see reactions. This d**k in the camera keys a car because he just didn't like it. At least he's gonna pay for it.
I don't get what the guy thinks he's accomplishing by damaging someone else's property. I have a Chevy Cruze and somebody keyed it. Don't know why and, even though it's not as nice as this guy's Tesla, it made me sick to see that someone felt like they could do that.
Jealous of some one owning a Tesla. How pathetic. guy in my town owns a Tesla and gets a lot of admiring looks at his car and he is a very nice bloke who will let you sit in the drivers seat and take a photo of you with your phone
Keying perpetrator: a middleaged white man. Victim: a young coloured guy named Justice. Just to reset som bias barometers.
Something similar from my neighborhood went viral and even hit national news. The lady finally confessed and was charged. Teslas are cool, I don't personally care for them, but damaging someone else's property is disgusting.
What I want to know is how does he get cameras to work like that on his car?? I'm so impressed!
The Tesla comes standard with a motion-activated surveillance strip that goes around the perimeter of the car.
Load More Replies...No, there was another one recently. The other guy didn’t know who she was, where she was parked or what kind of car she drove. It happened at his kids soccer game. Facebook identified her. They are just jealous and petty but getting busted because they are also stupid.
Load More Replies...Because it shows someone being a terrible person and getting caught.
Load More Replies...Of course he is. Car always defines the driver 🙄
