Man Documents Incredible Transformation Into Woman In 17 Months, And Her Facial Expression In Last Pic Says It All
2Mviews
Ohio student who uses an Imgur username Selgal has shared intimate photos of her transition from a man into a woman, and the eye-opening images provide additional information about what happens to a body during hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Selgal has documented 17 months (almost 1,5 years) on this process and provided personal comments about the way she felt throughout her gender transformation.
HRT involves taking hormones attributed to gender together with other medications. It brings out secondary sexual characteristics that develop at puberty but aren’t involved in reproduction. Those medications include estrogens and antiandrogens (male-to-female or MTF transformations) and androgens like testosterone (female-to-male). In trans women, this therapy may distribute fat to the hips, reduce the size of their reproductive organs, lessen muscle mass and power, increase breast size and limit the growth of facial hair. To maintain the effects, transgender people have to continue HRT therapy throughout their whole lives. And though it’s quite a lot of work, this way they don’t have to take the risk with the male to female surgery complications.
“It’s never too late to change who you are,” Selgal said describing her MTF transformation journey. “Happiness is real; you just have to be willing to risk anything to find it.”

You're beautiful. Congratulations for finding who you really are! Best wishes, stay beautiful, love!
I wish I could give this a thumbs up twice once for your comment and twice for your username I love it!!
I'm glad she finally got what she wanted ! It must be really hard to live in a body that doesn't match your soul...
So is love... Please tell me why I shouldn't speak of love because it's an abstract concept.

what is the soul? something unproven
I hope you smile more often, you're more beautiful when you're smiling. :)
Oh, and I love the anime and batman shirts!
nobody nowhere: no. Nobody tells men that they are prettier when smiling, nor do they have to smile to be considered as handsome. When they feel more like grumpy face, it's cool. I know nobody wants to insult, but demanding women or people to smile more is exhausting, and sets under pressure to please.
We _all_ look better when we smile, and we _feel_ better, too! But just like Leigh Hogan pointed out, not only do we not _feel_ like smiling sometimes (or maybe almost all the time), some people find "putting on a smile" to be fake, insincere, and actually painful. I frequently smile without a concrete reason to, just to improve my mood, but many resist the clinical use of such a "false" smile.
Also, Isobel, I choose to see the intent of your comment to be "I hope that you are happy and comfortable in your life, because your happy smile reveals the beauty of who you are/your personality."
Stop telling her that she's more beautiful when she's smiling you chauvinist^^ Selgal: natural beauty like yours doesn't even demand a smile on its face to entchant. You look like a woman, and a grown woman doesn't have to smile all the if she wants to be taken serious
Well when I typed the comment I didn't mean anything bad, sorry if I looked like a chauvinist. :)
We know you don't mean any harm. That just makes it harder for us to gather the nerve to explain why it sucks. As someone with life-long, treatment-resistant, sometimes severe depression, the pressure to SMILE is overwhelming. I hate being told I'd be prettier if I could lie more convincingly, getting hit with the sledgehammer of happy: My brain is ripping itself apart, and all I want is a pint of ice cream, not a reminder of how unsightly it is to venture into public. After understanding the psychology behind the recent measles outbreaks though, I've actually begun hiding less during episodes so that other people SEE the suffering. It's very easy to dismiss something when you never see the reality. I just calmly explain through the tears that, even with treatment, this is normal for me. Then I pay for my ice cream and go back into hiding. For that one moment, someone saw my reality. And I defeated another bout of agoraphobia.
Men are more beautiful when they smile too, so it's not a chauvinist comment. The point is the beginning photos show a sad person, the end photos a happy person. Beauty and happiness shines through the smile
yes i know you thought you are complimenting. How about if people would keep telling you that you are prettier or only pretty when you are smiling^^. Welcome back to the 50's, this is not flattery, it is insulting to tell someone how she would look more beautiful than she already is no?
It’s apparent you have no understanding of why or when being told to smile is insulting to women. This was clearly not intended to insinuate what you claim it did and you are grasping at straws in order to have a reason to insert yourself as the center of attention. Go troll somewhere else. This isn’t about you.
