But, plot twist, talking to the filmer didn’t work, so the filmee resorted to striking hella sexy poses and getting loads of internet karma for not only being one creative fella, but also showing how to properly deal with awkward elderly neighbors.

Meet u/sexywaterhose—nice nickname, gotta say—who, together with his sister, has recently inherited his dad’s house. At this point, the house is in desperate need of some upkeep, so OP spends his mornings and evenings getting some work done, which includes watering the grass outside.

All is fine and dandy, but there is one little pesky detail in this situation—the neighbor. The elderly woman next door, despite an introduction and an attempt at being friendly on the part of OP, is being a tad bit awkward. How awkward?

This one guy recently shared his story of how his neighbor would film him doing yard work, so he decided to retaliate

Well, whenever OP came out to fulfill his grassy obligations, the elderly woman would whip out her phone and start filming. And this happened every single day. Why? To make sure he wasn’t up to no good. Which is fair enough, except not really, why would you film anyone doing gardening, let alone so awkwardly?

After some time of going through the same thing over and over again, OP decided enough was enough and you gotta fight fire with fire… well, more like bizarre with sexy.

As the neighbor made it a habit to just go up to him and film everything, he decided to spice it up with some targeted posing

So, one morning, he’s out watering the grass, sure enough, the neighbor steps outside and starts doing her filming thing. OP, without hesitation, sticks out his butt, puts his hand on his hip, and starts staring at her, all sexy-like.

And sure enough, it worked—the woman was simply dumbfounded with disbelief as to what was happening. But the show’s not yet over folks, OP knocks it up a notch and starts pouring water onto himself with the running water hose, seductively touching his neck in the process and looking straight at her.

In particular, it was sexy posing, with all the hands on hips, butt extended outward and everything—simply glorious

“Was it stupid? Yes,” explained OP, but you know what? IT WORKED. The neighbor immediately put away her phone, cussing him out and calling him a perv.

OP later had a talk with his sister, who lowkey defended the old lady, saying she just probably has nothing better to do and that’s it, so “sexually harassing” her was a bit out of line. But the lad was of a different opinion, so he went to the Am I The A-Hole community on Reddit to figure out what’s what.

While everyone ruled the guy not the bad guy, folks were actually more interested in seeing these videos the elderly neighbor took. But all jokes aside, people did suggest finding out recording laws and how they work, because this smells like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Others suggested calling her a pervert back, especially with the whole sexy vibe in the background—giving her a taste of her own medicine? And yet others started speculating why this could be a thing in the first place, wondering whether OP is of a different race or if she’s just an overly protective elderly woman?
