Everyone likes different things. Especially when it comes to makeup. Some like to wear a lot of bold and extravagant makeup, some like a more natural look. Both and all approaches to makeup are valid. Everyone should be able to wear whatever they want and as much of it as they want. All over the world, expectations for women are really high, so at least we should let them and everyone else look how they want to look.
That's why it's so amazing what makeup artist Maria Kalashnikova does for women. She listens to what they want and transforms these beautiful ladies with makeup. There is no doubt they look stunning without it, but wearing makeup is not about looking more beautiful: it's about looking different, it's about changing up your look to match your style, mood, or event. And it's about having fun and playing with your appearance, creating art on your face and body.

Maria is very skilled at using makeup. She manages to bring out the best features in people's faces and make them glow. Maria has clients lined up for special occasions, events or just to pamper themselves. It's very amazing to see the happy and glowing faces of women when the artist is done with them.
There is a stereotype going around that women wear makeup for other people, especially men. Well, the thing is that most women wear it for themselves. Makeup is just part of your look and style. It's still the same person underneath all that makeup. Most women know they don't need it to look beautiful, but they still want to wear it because it's fun. And if some women don't, that's completely ok! Let's try to support and understand each other.
This is one of the best, because she's not loaded with eye makeup. It looks more natural and accents her features without overwhelming them.
It's quite ridiculous to hear that women are "catfishing" people by wearing makeup. I mean, isn't it obvious they don't have golden eyelids, bright red lips, or flushed pink cheeks? If you get tricked into thinking that a woman with a full face of makeup actually looks like that all the time, how is that the woman's problem?

it's not just the makeup, the colours have been adjusted in the 'after' photo. checkout her hair colour. nonetheless, still beautiful in both pics.
same sweater -very different lighting...I wonder what she would look like without make up with the other lighting.

Most of these girls/women look far prettier natural. I'm not a fan of this really heavy makeup trend that's the "in" thing at the moment. Some of the more dramatic looks are nice as a statement, but to show some more natural makeup looks wouldve been nice. Some of the after pics dont look like real people anymore and it's sad that women and young girls are striving to keep with this trend because thwyve been conditioned to thinking it's what they need to do to look good. I like makeup, I wear it myself almost every day. But a lot of these are just far too much.
Almost all of these women look far more attractive - much more "real"- in the "natural" images. The made-up images look for all the world like clones of a single woman, or plastic inflateable dolls.
Could be a cultural thing, but I prefer the before photos for most of these. Make-up should be subtle and enhance natural features, not completely dominate and change the face.
All these ladies look beautiful, but honestly, these make overs show exactly what the problem with the Hollywood look is. It's literally a drawing that can be applied to almost any face, a completely artificial beauty standard that even Hollywood stars can only achieve with professional help, lots of time and money. But still women get compared to that standard in daily life, by themselves, men, and other women.
I hope that they were happy with the makeup the artist did for them. It's really uplifting when you do something special for yourself. In the end, it's about what they think and how it makes them feel and to heck with what anyone else thinks.
I fear hiding somebody under make up completely, up to a point where they look like androids, isn't really doing a lot for them. It somewhat gives the impression that the way they normally look somehow isn't acceptable. So, I upvoted the more normal glam ups and the outre ones didn't get an upvote.
I feel like we need to stop telling women both that they look “sick” without makeup- and normalize natural faces- but also we need to stop telling women that they have “cake faces” or “are wearing too much makeup.” Makeup is a form of art, and nobody gets to decide how much makeup a women wears except her. If she wants to walk down the red carpet after just waking out of bed, good on her, natural beauty is beautiful. If she wants to go to the supermarket in a full face of makeup with neon eyeshadow and hot pink lipstick, we need to also support her, because that’s how she chooses to express herself. Make up should be whatever the person wearing it wants. These same rules apply to men, theyre beautiful with and without makeup. In the end, anybody and everybody has the choice whether or not to wear makeup, and as long as we can say that they’re still stunning without it, we can say that they’re beautiful with it too.

These are fine as an extreme example of red carpet makeup. I'm more interested in seeing how a person (male or female) might use much less to achieve much more. The full on makeup would look ludicrous during the day or at work.
Almost all of these pictures have filters. Some extremely so. Add that to the pound of make up they have on and you get yet another piling of women trying to meet an unrealistic beauty standard. You're all beautiful without this rubbish on your face. Also, you don't need filters.
I would just like to say all of the people featured here are beautiful with or without makeup and whichever one they prefer is their choice and opinion. And their opinions are also the only ones that matter. And to anyone who says that they are ugly in either the before or after photos, please keep that to yourself.

Instead, of being a makeup artist who piles all that s**t on her or maybe even his face lol with contouring foundation stuff - I've heard of this other idea called the "no makeup" makeup look where you can enhance your actual face - but even just a little bit of makeup (in my opinion) you'd still look a little bit different.

I HATE everything about this thread. Most of this "makeup" is poorly done Photoshopping, and consists of simply deleting signs of humanity.
The makeup artist's work is amazing, even if there are filters. It's a good post because it simultaneously shows me that most of the pics I see that are heavily made up could be a drastic change from normal, and also that for the odd occasion, maybe good makeup could help me feel better about myself
Wow, I wonder how many female celebrities can live a normal life without being recognized without makeup. I bet it could be a lifesaver at times, especially for privacy and to avoid the paparazzi.
Absolutely amazing make up work! I loved every one of the looks. But my favorite one is #4. I love purple/teal eye shadow and purple hair combination.
Now, how about doing the same with men? Some natural-looking,some completely outrageous. Men deserve to feel pretty too!

I have mixed reactions. Some are too much, like evening make up, and look younger and fresher without any make up. Some have invisible well done "just to accentuate your best features" make up. I prefer make up is best when it doesn't "scream" from the face but some people do like interesting make up in all colors which I also like.
Yeah, I went the opposite way. During quarantine I didn't wear makeup because I was at home. Now that I'm back in the office...I still don't wear makeup. I haven't used anything for over a year and a half. My skin is softer and I look younger from not putting all that crap on my face. Won't be going back to makeup.
So. Much. Eye makeup. I think these are fabulous campy looks - I’m just not sure that’s the adjective the makeup artist was going for.
A lot of these woman were beautiful before the makeup. The makeup artists are definitely talented, but not everyone needs that amount of makeup. I wish the older ladies had the same application as the younger gals. Just to see a comparison.
And this is the place for judging women who like makeup and how it makes them fake even though the title of the article is Hollywood makeover transformations. Bravo Pandas, very smart.

They turned unique, human individuals into the same copy/paste Barbie doll, with the occasional "hot Goth" thrown in. "Number 12 Looks Just Like You" is becoming reality.

IMO, half the makeup jobs look too Vampire-ish or Anime. Too heavy eye makeup. But I'm older and I know we live in a different environment now... of "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME-wait, stop looking at me"!
I gave up looking. These photos were gahstly! Makein hte gors/womwenr loom so so artificial, ugly and infriendly. Too many of the girls had fisce tht make up is supposed to make thise without naturl beauty look like/ The 'make up "ariist"" should be shot. Or ay least drummed out of the business
