This Whole Litter Of 5 Maine Coon Kittens Was Born With Cute But Grumpy Faces
Being the biggest domestic cat breed, Maine coons are one of the most popular cats. Because who doesn’t love big and fluffy cats, right? These majestic felines can grow as much as 40 inches in length and come in 75 different color combinations. With their long, multilayered fur and large paws, Maine coons are very well equipped for winter. In fact, one theory suggests that they originated from Norwegian Forest cats because back in the day, they might have come to America with the Vikings.

While these long-haired felines have many distinctive features that separate them from other cats, there’s one you can never miss.

The cats of this breed have quite distinctive faces. In fact, some of them are so peculiar that they look like… human faces.

Recently, a cattery called Catsvill County shared photos of a litter with 5 adorable grey kittens, and people instantly started noticing something strange about them – they all look a bit like grumpy old men.

Who can argue that when looking at these cats, it feels like their faces convey a very unique expression?

The kittens all look quite similar too, it’s hard to tell them apart. Nevertheless, all of them are just as adorable!

One year ago, the very same cattery went viral for their 2-month old kitten Valkyrie, who looks like he has a human face.

Share on FacebookI think "Adopt, don't shop". These cats come from a commercial cat breeder in Russia. Thousands of cats are euthanized daily in shelters.
Sadly, most people seem to care more about the looks of an animal than anything else.
Load More Replies...So adorable and unique. The first little one looks like they need a good nap.
This is a new look for Maine Coons. They are deliberately being bred for it. I had Maine Coons with beautiful normal faces, then these monstrosities came along. They are ugly. The ears and snouts have been altered from the original look. They used to be so beautiful. Now Siberians and Norwegian Forrest cats are the pretty ones. Please don't represent the whole breed as these ugly mutants.
What’s happened to them is terrible but don’t be rude and call them names when it’s not those poor creatures fault.
Load More Replies...Hi guys! I am FROM MAINE! REAL MAINE C**N CATS DO NOT LOOK LIKE THIS. AT ALL. I have had Maine Coons my whole life. They are huge, yes but.. MAINE COONS LOOK LIKE A MAINE/CANADIAN LYNX WITH LONG MULTICOLORED FUR.
I think Maine Coons are THE most beautiful animals in the world there personally are unique very loving and caring just be with one for a little time and you can't not fall on love . Mine is 17 years old still sleeps in my arms every night . If you want love in your life adopt one there personally will win you over in no time. If you don't believe me check any cat shelter hard to find one there. But worth trying mine was there only for one hour!! Have the love you deserve adopt one
Love our Maine C**n, she's 13 years old and still looks like a show cat even though she was the runt of her litter.
I have a Norwegian with a permanent look of surprise. Look up Gus the Weegee on facebook.
This is simply the European Maine C**n, nothing so strange about it. In Europe the bloodlines considered the best, tend to have that look. Definitely not like the North American type.
I live in europe and my Maine c**n does NOT look like that. He has the lion-look.
Load More Replies...Before shouting out "cute, I want one!" please ask yourselves are these cats healthy? They don't look healthy to me. What is behind these alterarions? Remember that the beloved Grumpy cat had dwarfism. This is not something any responsibile breeder would intentionally breed into their line. They don't look like Maine Coons either. Also is very questionable to write an article adoring irresponsible breeding like this. I am disgusted.
Had Maine coins all my adult life. These Maine coins look like they are a mixed breed!
Cats the movie is the most f*****g furry nightmare that has ever f*****g existed, as the result of the decision to include humans in obviously fake cat suits. Literally, if anyone wanted to see humans running around as cats they would have seen the play.
I did. In England. The movie trailer does not bode well for the actual movie.
Load More Replies...My Maine C**n, Don Bosco, does not look at all grumpy, despite the fact that he was a street kitty for his first 8 months. He now lives with a friend because he needed a posse and she has 5 other cats, besides which the Mr. has serious feline allergies.
I see a line of comments about the alteration to the breed here making them somehow ugly. Ironic, since that was the entire purpose of breeding for a particular type of cat to start with. It's funny how those who advocate about keeping the appearance of a breed pure and are fighting this don't even understand that that's how their version of their breed came to be to start with. Hypocrisy, anyone? Honestly, I'm against the whole purebred thing to start with and consider it, especially with species like cats, which insofar as purebreds are concerned were bred mainly for appearance and to accessorize their human owners, to be mainly a vanity thing with little thought to the cat, only loving it because it has certain superficial personality and appearance features. But unless there are certain physiological aspects that interfere with the cat's quality of life, this is no worse than any purebred breeding.
I have not had time to read all the comments, but these are NOT regular Maine Coons. They are called, "Wolfies". Werewolf Maine Coons...look them up. They are used repeatedly for shows and models. They often cost thousands of dollars, and come from CATTERIES. Why would you buy from these people when thousands of gorgeous babies are dying daily from a lack of homes?? I have had a dozen pure bred Coonies my entire life...all rescued, as well as dozens of other kitties...all so precious. Please, dont buy from these unethical breeders. I have been to catteries, under cover, and seen kitties all crated for life or their usefullness, in cages stacked to the ceiling. Those are the lucky ones who are in the house, and not in an airless hot garage or cold shed. I've seen both. Even "good" breeders are in the wrong, causing the deaths of innocent lives. Please, dont encourage Wolfie breeders, as unresistable as they are...and they are. Think of the breeder females...please. Thanks and God Bless
