Meet Karina Farek - an amazing animator and illustrator, who likes deep sea fish, werewolves, anime, Billy Joel, and cold weather. She recently created a series of 'Lust vs. Love' illustrations, which was commissioned College Humor and we couldn't help sharing it with you!
The illustrations perfectly depict the passion and deep affection that a person feels when in love, while when in lust, all they feel is an intense desire for gratification. Farek compared these two feelings by illustrating them in the same situations. Keep on scrolling to take a look at her understanding of lust and love. Don't forget to vote for your favorites!

When you barely know someone you're dating you don't pay dinner as a sign of affection.
Load More Replies...The second picture is half true. Except for the fact that i'm not dealing with the toilet. I'm dealing with the cockroaches. And grasshoppers. And butterflies. Insects, literally. Yes, my husband are afraid of them.
She can, but those cases are much rarer. Women get paid and promoted less, and the ones who have children are set back in their careers.
Load More Replies...I doubt there's anyone out there who would do that for there partners...
Basically lust one means he's paying the food for her because she's sexy and the second one means she helping him because she loves him.
would have been better if both weren't such gender specific stereotypes, e.g. if HE was cleaning he loo, or she was paying
Except... SHE is fixing the toilet that's a plunger, generally a male role.
Load More Replies...The person who made this is kidding. This is too stupid to be true.
stereotypes have some basis in truth. A majority of men *do* pay for dinner on a first date, and wouldn't mind having sex with the woman.

I think they're a nice way to show how a relationship changes and that love is the more everyday things couples can do for each other because their relationship has progressed past the superficial.
Your interpretations are very well thought out. Good job. Keep at it! (And always ignore the whiny, jealous jerks who are so disillusioned with their own sad lives they tear down everyone else; especially those like you, who go for it.)
Meh. All of these can and should co-exist in a good relationship.
