Love makes its way into our hearts in mysterious ways. But this guy’s romance story is so hilariously twisted, 416K people liked it after he tweeted it. Twitter user Matt, who also calls himself the Sixth Form Poet, was visiting his father’s grave and noticed that the one next to his dad’s never had any flowers. Feeling sorry for the deceased stranger, Matt began buying him flowers whenever he came to the cemetery. After a while, he decided to get to know him a little better and things took an unexpected turn when Matt googled the fellow’s name.

Maybe your Dad inspired you to do so because he wanted you to meet this man's niece and to allow you to pass a message on to her aunt and grandparents. Maybe her uncle saw you were a wonderful person for bringing a man you never met kindness in the form of flowers. And I think, in a way, you going to the graves of the wife and the parents allowed him to apologize through you for the horrors he committed against them that day. I'm glad you brought his niece happiness. And I'm sure your Dad is looking out for her family. Hopefully her family's souls are at peace..

exactly, sometimes in randomness too. One small act of kindness returns your way tenfold, I can't imagine reaching out to the dead in a tiny way would have this much impact on someone's life. not to mention love can also be found at a graveyard... i cant believe I even wrote this comment <_<

Ikr. I feel bad about the murder case, but couldn't stop thinking how funny the way he found out and started to apologize.

Very interesting meet cute. Just wish he didn't feel the need to express the importance of certain things by SHOUTING IN CAPS. We get it, guy. Maybe I'm just annoyed with it being Monday.

It's alright. I'm annoyed that it's another story written through tweets... We can be annoyed together. Justification: Monday seems reasonable.

I'm not surprised she married you. Who wouldn't want to marry a man with such a kind gentle thoughtful and loving soul like you. I wish you a long and wonderful life together.

I manage the woodlands around balcombe where the train line cuts through the sandstone. Lots of old bridges, I used to sit and watch.

If I found out I was taking flowers to a murderer's grave, I'd sure feel like I should apologize to somebody.....Either that or beat my head against a tree....LOL

You know, it's kind of comforting to know that things like these happen to other people too. I can completely relate at every point. Feeling guilty for the 'lonely' grave, bringing flowers and bonding. But most of all that moment when you googled him and learned the truth and (I'm inserting my own feelings) and felt like the biggest idiot alive - and quietly hoped the floor would actually open up and swallow you. And meeting a family member at the other graveyard?!?! You are a courageous person. I probably would have squeaked and fainted. But those odds are very familiar to me. The one where the family member is the love of your life, those odds are unfamiliar as yet. But I'll remember your story so I'll know I'm not alone in these odd awful situations and that at least once they had a happy ending.

I met my husband in the cemetery too! Not nearly as great of a story (it was my grandmother's graveside service...he was there from her church). But I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Beats my story about how I met my husband - We got set up on a blind date and I couldn't stand him. He happened to mention his most hated perfume, that it made him actually gag, and I happened to have a bottle in my purse. Before we all left his place, I hosed his bathroom down with it and then walked out the door. Since he lived in another state, I fully never expected to see him again. But he walked through the door of the club I was working in and neither of us had any expectations, so we had a good laugh about it and it took off from there. Been with him for 30 years now.

I met my first girlfriend because she thought I looked like someone she knew. She wasn't sure though, so she went through my online profile and pretended to know other people who were on my friend list. I never went into much detail with my questions, and so I never knew she who she thought I was or that she was bluffing about my friends until well after we started dating. we broke up later, for completely unrelated reasons. lol.
