You might be an immoral asshole, that’s your choice. But if you choose this path, bear in mind that some people might (rightfully) retaliate. And if they’re really fed up with your shit, their vengeance can be so brutal, you’ll end up rethinking all of your life choices. But even though this avenger got back at his wrong-doer in style, some are saying that he may have put innocent people in danger along the way, too.
Everything started when reddit user riderfan07 was in a race for a promotion. One of his colleagues, however, interfered. After he wasn’t allowed to climb the ladder, the guy had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to make his coworker pay for “fu*king with his career.” Scroll down to check out how everything ended and tells us in the comments if you think the whole thing was reckless or not. Some people praised these actions
But others didn’t like them so much

Share on FacebookYou're only hearing one side of the story. Maybe this guy did something to Murray and then Murray sabotaged the promotion because HE wanted revenge. Why would a manager make such an important decision based on gossip? There's more to this story. The guy sounds petty and vindictive.
True that. I think only good thing came out of this whole story was that drunken piece of s**t got caught by cops whilst DUI and may be his and few other lives are saved.
Load More Replies...Sounds like this guy wanted revenge for personal reasons. The drunk driving thing was a convenient method of doing this. He did the right thing, but not for the right reason. Why didn't he report it sooner?
Having buried my precious Mother and watched my Father suffer for years after, RIP , & my beautiful Daughter suffer life long debilitating injuries from a drunk driver that a cop let go earlier in the day (told him to go home, he wasn't quiet drunk enough not test was given) only to have him re-offend later that night, driving in their lane no headlights on a hill, he hit them head on.. I wish people would take this more seriously. Ya he got his revenge but bigger is the life he may have saved, but like someone said, I don't think he did this for the drunk driving reasons. Sadly drinking and driving is still socially acceptable to a large percentage of people.
So, so sorry for your loss. That is truly tragic. Murray's colleagues should have stopped him the first time and not allowed drink on the premises if he couldn't make the right choices.
Load More Replies...Actually by the photo, he looks a dork. One of those who drinks because he doesn't feel all right at social events, sweat too much, and try to feel better drinking. That doesn't seems to be a real working strategy, altough it can make him feel it is.
Load More Replies...I think what he did was good as my mom lost her best friend to a drunk driver, but that should have been done anyway. He did this multiple times and he could have killed anyone at anytime. Do that because it's the right thing.
Murray should never have been allowed to get into a car drunk. He could have seriously injured himself, died, or sustained permanent injury--he also could have done this to others.
Not me exacting revenge but relishing in the sweetness of Karma. Had an ex bf that, I later found out, was dating me and 2 other girls at the same time. He had stolen $10k from a friend that was getting the money together to pay fines in lieu of going to jail and forged a check from his grandparents account 2 weeks after his Grandfather passed away. A real douchebag of douchebags. And his mother stuck her head in the sand thinking he was an angel. The karma came when I ran into a former neighbor of him and his family that told me they had over extended themselves so badly on credit cards that they were forced to sell their posh homes, antique cars and move into an apartment after they were forced to file for bankruptcy. What goes around comes around. Wouldn't be surprised if he was in jail for theft and fraud.
Terrible experience, but I'm glad you can look back on it and not blame yourself (people like that often gaslight others). Sounds like you got lucky when you got him out of your life and moved on. Kudos to you.

I really don't care what motives Riderfan07 had to warn the cops about drunk driving Murray. Fact is he helped to stop an admitting drunk driver and for that I respect and thank him. If he just posted "I called the police because a co-worker was drunk driving." I would have respected him the same. How many more people have to die, how many more peope have to lose a dear one, just because some ignorant jerk refuses to do the right thing. YOU JUST DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
I would have liked him better if he'd done the right thing by calling the cops because he knew how dangerous that was, rather than only resorting to that as a form of revenge.
Load More Replies...I don't like play revenges. There's really no need. If you're cool and in good mood, willing to help others etc, everything will be a benefit to you. Who moves within a bad feelings area will cut his legs autonomously without anyone have to do nothing, that's always going his way. In the op same situation I wouldn't have done it, and if ever, Id feel guilty probably sabotating myself one way or the other. Doing nothing, Murray would have probably ended his miserable life all by his own, one way or the other, problem solved.
The other dude should have been fired for lying and for bragging and drink drive and then doing it after a work event. Sounds like he's not a team player, causes problems at work, and is not trust worthy.
First off, the guy claims to be a "nice guy" but comes across as a bit of a petty d**k. Secondly, I doubt that he didn't get the promotion because one guy bad mouthed him. Most of the time, bosses realize that not everyone gets along and one person complaining about another can be chalked up to conflicting personalities. Now, if multiple people confirm it, there might be a problem but you're not going to lose a promotion because of one person's comments. Probably a good thing this guy didn't get his promotion. Murray may be a jerk but imagine this guy being your boss and him getting upset with you. Petty, vindictive people make bad bosses.
Forget about the revenge thing.....you performed a Public Service.
Unless Murray left work drunk daily - was the OP supposed to follow/stalk Murray daily to catch him leaving the bar later? That would have been considered wrong to stalk a co-worker (or person for that matter) in order to catch them drunk driving. At least he called the cops on a day he knew - sans-stalking - when Murray would be behind the wheel after too many drinks. He did nothing wrong calling him in, and he did it when he knew for sure. I suppose he could have called in the plates and said it was a known drunk driver, but then the cops would have had to stalk him... all this stalking is creeping me out.
