Almost 400K People Have Joined This Group Dedicated To Long Hair, And Here 42 Of The Most Impressive Pics
Long hair has always been popular in human culture - for both women and men. Thanks to his hair, the biblical hero Samson received his inhuman strength, princess Rapunzel's hair allowed her to escape from the high tower, and braided hair symbolized youth, beauty and even independence among different peoples.
In the contemporary world, the fashion for different hairstyles changes from decade to decade, long hair went in and out of the thread - but there were always people who took care of their hair with love. Of course, modern cosmetics provide great opportunities in terms of hair care - and people are willing to use this.

4 Year Hair Growth With No Hair Cuts, Not Even Trims. From Yesterday, Back To Senior Year Of Hs (2018)
Oh my goodness sir. You must have to chase away the woman that follow you down the street on a daily basis because of your fabulous good looks and magnificent locks
Wow! Like standing in front of a roaring fire! (It's my favourite colour too).
I'm envious. I'm a redhead with natural curls like this but I can't grow my hair anymore thanks to it falling out for various reasons. ;-; (but tbh, even if I could I'd still be envious that hair just looks so perfect!)
God I hope if/when you decide to cut it you donate it. That is insanely attractive. You would be a LoL unicorn. Every few years you make some ginger kid's day/life. Either way, impressive.
LOL, I call BS. I am a professional cosmetologist. The first 6-10 inches of his hair may be natural. But the rest is added hair extensions. No human grows straight dull hair that turns into beautiful shimmering curly locks years later. Gimme a break...
No trims? Looks pretty healthy for that. I find it hard to believe. He's have quite a few split ends. The color is gorgeous. This type of "ginger' on a man is very sexy
It's hair extensions. It's impossible for straight lackluster hair to turn into shimmering curly locks years later...
Load More Replies...This is the exact color I dyed my hair for years, so pretty, lucky guy.
That's how I got my hair long (3 1/2' and I'm 5'1") No trims for 6 years and lots of conditioner and no cut cream.
It's called hair extensions. Do you really believe his hair grows straight then turns curly after a couple of years? You are naive.
Load More Replies...My hair grows about a centimeter a year, by then I have to cut it cause of split ends, I'm so jealous.
That hair has been trimmed! No hair grows that perfectly trimmed naturally. I have butt length hair so it's not like I am talking ignorantly. It is a nice rich, shiny color though.
Funny, I don't recall you ever looking at my hair. I mean, you must have, since you seem to be aware of how ALL hair on everyone's head grows.

Wow. Those eyes. I may be falling in love with those eyes and that smile

I vote the most beautiful hair I have seen here. It is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!
By the way, in many cultural traditions of the peoples of the world, it is forbidden to cut long hair or, moreover, to shave - both for men and women. For example, Sikhs are forbidden to cut their hair throughout their entire lives, and their religion considers compliance with this ban to be one of its most important attributes.

Interestingly, according to some studies, women are more predisposed to have long hair - after all, the hormone estrogen, which, in particular, is responsible for the lifespan of each hair, is present in the female body in much greater quantities than in the male one. So it turns out that the "life span" of a woman's hair is on average 2.5 times longer than that of a man's.

Probably the most popular bearer of long hair in modern culture is Rapunzel from an old German fairy tale and, more importantly, the famous Disney cartoon. Devoted fans specifically calculated the length of the princess' hair and got about 70 feet. By the way, in order to make Rapunzel's hair look realistic on the screen, a special computer program was made to calculate the movement of almost 100 thousand individual strands.

But in the real world, someone has even broken the record of a Disney princess. Asha Mandela from Florida entered the Guinness Book of Records back in 2009 when her locks were almost 20 feet long. Now, thirteen years later, the woman can boast 110 feet of her locks.
If, according to statistics, the average American spends about $77.17 a year on hair care, one can only guess how much her hair costs the world record holder. However, such beauty, we are sure, it is definitely worth it!

Hair Finally Hit The Back Of My Knees. I’d Always Said This Was The Length I’d Cut At. Now I’m Not So Sure
It's beautiful, just give it a little, and I mean little trim and it keep on keepin on. It's just so pretty.
The amount of respect I have for these folk for dealing with brushing this much hair to look beautiful and not just a bunch of tangles is a lot. It's always the tangles that convince me to lop it all off and donate again.
Honestly, I have til bum lenght and it tangles less than shorter hair. Partialy because I wear braid or ponytail more often. But yeah, somehow it works differently.

Now I feel like I should finally get that trim and take care of my hair better. It's thick, curly and at my butt and definitely could use some love; haven't dyed it in about 9 years and I have some pretty awesome gray hairs growing now
I don't have long hair but same as you, haven't dyed it in 9 years and embracing every single gray hair I get.

I miss my hair sometimes. Had red hair to the middle of my back. But then I started going bald, so I shaved it off. Growing my beard out now, thinking of putting some beads in it.
35 Years ago (I was 7) I had hair halfway down my back. I kept insisting to my mom that a "Bob cut" was what I really wanted. She said no but I pestered and pestered. Eventually she gave in and said "fine!" I don't know what 7 year old me expected but I hated it. I cried for 2 weeks. After that, I said I'd never cut my hair again. Other than a trim, I haven't. Today, my hair is just past the back of my knees. I've never dyed it and the last perm I had was in grade 7. I take care of it. My hair is the one and only thing I love about my physical appearance. Please, before I am judged, 5 years ago when my sister was diagnosed with cancer, I vowed that when she needs it, I will absolutely cut it for her. Along with her, I think I can provide at least 2 more people with a head of hair.
I struggle with mine because it’s hip length and I’m disabled so washing it is a full day job but I don’t feel right without long hair if that makes sense.
That absolutely makes sense! I am not disabled but a few weeks ago I had double surgery and so washing, conditioning and wrapping a towel on my head has been a huge struggle. I can't imagine struggling everyday for the rest of my life so I am truly empathetic towards your situation. I really wish I could help you ❤️ Do you have someone who could help you? If you don't work or frequent an environment that is dusty or greasy and keep your hair in a braid, pony or bun a lot, you shouldn't need to wash your hair more than once a week. Also, if you don't use product in your hair, you're good for a week. Change your pillowcase twice a week if possible too. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask for it. I am unsure of the cost but if you can swing it, call a hair salon and ask what they charge for a wash only. Maybe a friend or friend of a friend does hairdressing as a side business. Don't suffer if you can help it.
Load More Replies...My oldest son is 9, and he has been growing his hair out for the last 3 and a half years, from 1/4 inch. It is now to his shoulder blades. Blonde with natural red highlights, thick and gorgeous with curls at the ends. I am jealous of my own sons natural hair. 😅 But I love his hair, he does too. He is growing it out to donate to Wigs for Kids.
I quit cutting my hair after making the mistake of trusting a new stylist and ended up receiving a terrible Short (K@ren) cut at the start of 2020... pandemic gave me the excuse to avoid the salon... now my long silvery blue hair is halfway down my back! Just like when I was a kid- I love it
A decade of growth would be a couple of inches below my shoulders. I now use clippers as I can't handle having hair touch my face or the necessary care of even normal short hair. Love these long tresses. If riding a motorbike with long hair, plait it to stop it getting knotted, shredded and full of junk.
These are all great. The dedication it must take, how long would some of these heads of hair take to wash and dry! I have a short enough head of hair and it takes it's sweet time drying.
I hope everyone who decides to get their hair cut donates it to Locks of Love or another charity for people dealing with cancer or alopecia. Your stunning hair needs to be shared.
I've always loved long hair. My sister and I share dark red hair and she kept hers around waist length for many years. She recently cut it after retiring to make all of her trekking around the world easier, but it was always impressive. Personally, while I like the look I've never been able to stand having my hair any length at all, so I've got over 40 years with a high & tight flattop - pretty much the opposite!
Maybe some of these beautiful haired people might consider doing a big chop donate to charity?
I had long hair down to my waist for about twenty years. I kept getting it caught in car doors and windows when it was windy. Everyone could tell when it was my hair in the food at dinner. (Not that it happened a lot.) Upkeep can be difficult at times. I did love though, it felt so glorious. I do wonder how the woman with 110 feet of hair can even walk around!!
The male of a species is the most beautiful (lion, cardinal, peacock) to attract a mate. Females glow! What's not to love here?
