Webcomic creator and digital artist Tabby, from Illinois, knows the pain of being in a long distance relationship all too well. Slice of Life, a webcomic drawn over a year about her long distance boyfriend, documented the highs and lows of a life apart, but only recently made Internet headlines when it was shared on Imgur. Now, Tabby is back with a new project.
"My goal is to create a comic, starting at 2x a week and working up to 5x a week, for an entire year," Tabby writes on Patreon. "Not only will this continue to push me as an artist, but it will again be a way of documenting this new chapter in my life. Slice of life comics have always been appealing to me, they open up lives of the creators to the readers and allow us all to connect to each other. And as an artist, that is what I want to be able to do - connect to people."

3 years. 3777 miles. It's possible. We just got married. But the struggle is real. I love those drawings.
My now ex husband use to stay up all night just to say good morning to me when I woke up. We were three hours time difference. It was the most difficult relationship of my life. I still remember the feeling of complete joy when he would do such sweet gestures.
My partner is in Oz and I'm in Scotland- we fall asleep together on Skype quite regularly
So funny, I used to be in a long distance relationship with a guy named Samuel too. I was in France and he in Switzerland. Now after two years I have moved to Switzerland too. :)
I would hope no one has a long-distance relationship with pizza... it's everywhere :)
Ok so the sad part is that in here is the good part of the story, its much more harder then that and the amount of effort is pretty way bigger. If you want it to work you need comitment from both of you. For me worked great im getting merried in two weeks!!!
I'm in the Uk and my boyfriend is in Australia.... I totally feel the distance and miss him all the time! Worst bit has to be the time difference though. :( It's tough, but totally worth it!! Keep going strong! We can do this!! :D <3
I Was in australia (born there) in roughly late 2009 we started talking than in 2012 he booked a flight to meet me (hes from uk) finally met me and we fast forward its 2017 im living in the uk with him in our house which is morgaged and our kitty riku <3 if you want it and really love each other and work for it it will continue to be worth it and some day maybe not a year maybe not two but eventually you will both be together <3
Load More Replies...ok, just a bad idea to see this at work... I now just wanna cry and I cant... ;_;
:'( ...i had to break up with the woman of my dreams due to the distance, looking at these pictures makes me regret and shed a tear...
This is very well made, and the feelz of it too xP Hope you guys get back together soon ^^ !
Went through two of these, the break ups were brutal... I think I'm pretty much done for good, long distance or otherwise.
It's funny. She's from the us and her boyfriend is from Canada because I'm from the us and my boyfriend is from Canada. But even though we haven't met yet I can relate to this sooooooooo well. Love it so much.
Does anyone know the artist? I'm in America and my boyfriend is in Canada. I'm trying configure out the process on what to do to start grtting there. I would love to get in contact with her for some help :) or if anyone else has advice! My email is best.ashley14@gmail.com
I foud my soulmate in 2016. She is 14 and I am 16. She lives in the USA and I live in canda. We had a big rock in the road the first week we were dating and many more. We made it past it all and ima go see her this summer, but in a few years there will be no need for feeling scared to call cause we will wake up as one and get past any fights we may have ahead <3
this was lovly. I found my soul mate at age 16 and im 16 rn turning 17 in june and my gf is 14. I live in canada and she lives la in the USA. We were faced with a big rock in the road the first week of daiting and we held on. We will never give up on one another and in a few years there will be no need for skyping and feeling scared to call <3
My now husband and I had a year long relationship when we dated. This is our 4th year of marriage, we have a lovely baby and it feels just yesterday we were on the phone all the time. Going strong! Wouldn't change a bit of anything, it was sooooo worth it
I am in a long distance relationship, 12 or 13 hours apart depends if daylight savings is applied. We are from two different sides of the world. Been together for 1 year and 5 months. And this really inspired me!!!!!! All the illustrations I could relate to!!!!! Bcoz we have experienced them too!!!!! Thank you!!!
I love my ex so much... we broke because of the distance... meet her during vacation with family at Europe and it felt so wonderful seeing and being with her again. I am envious of people getting to spend time with her and some have confess their love to her. It's hard to listen to those but I know I can't be selfish. As much as I love her, she needs someone there and i know it. I am considering moving there but the terms and condition given I have to work my a*s off which i don't mind but I do wonder is it fair, since i know the tendency of each individual
My GF sent me this and it's nearly us to a T. I am both happy and sad, and it's hard to hold back here at work. Haha.
Yeah, I recognise this. It worked for me too. After all we finally got married end of December 2016.
I'm in a long distance relationship too, but I think the distance makes our time spent together so much more special even If I can't stand not being with him when I want to x
If you are in a long distance relationship and you feel you are with the person you are meant to be with, don't give up! I know it's hard barely ever seeing your partner. I was in a long distance relationship for a little over 6 years and we are now living together. I think the key to having a successful long distance relationship is to always have a meet up planned so you know when you'll see each other again and have something to look forward to. If you want to be with that person, you will do what it takes to make it work.
We were in a long distance relationship for 6 years. We are now living together and it was so worth the wait! :) If you're in a long distance relationship and you feel that you are with the person you are meant to be with, don't give up. Being in a long distance relationship is super difficult, but one of the greatest things about being in a long distance relationship is how well you and your partner learn to communicate. I feel this makes your relationship stronger in many ways.
It works! Was in a LDR for 2 1/2 years (Germany/USA). I totally relate to those cartoons. It's a big committment but you get to know the real person and the character through just talking. And we made it :) Married her almost a year ago and every day is amazig because I found my best friend :)
That's me all the time.. 😢..we haven't seen each other from 2 years. But I think waiting is totally worth it..sometimes it's really hard to live away..🙁
Persevere, and don't lose sight of the goal. My girlfriend and I were long distance for 3 years, up until this past year when we finally moved in together. Every day it's long distance, it's so easy to believe it's never really gonna happen. But one day, it finally does.
Omg..i can feel it...Im from Hungary and he is from India... Im dying to see him :( Guys...if you interested in our story check this link: https://gogetfunding.com/help-us-start-our-jounrey-together/
I think it's ok if you're 1h with public transportation away from your bf/gf. Anything more, is just ridiculous and a waste of time and energy. Time flies. Use it with people close to you. Yes, I've done long distance relationships, airplanes, boats, trains, buses, whatever, you name it. Still. There's nothing better than here and now. Good luck to anyone struggling with this kind of relationships.
Reality sucks but being with someone for so long but never met up is a horrible feeling. I'm from Singapore and he is from Canada. We started out as friends...nvr expected the feelings would develop especially aft I went through a bad divorce. I dnt want to keep hopes...if this worked it will...if it doesnt...maybe its nvr meant to be....
:( I am from Italy, he's from Japan. We are really at the opposite side of the world. But it's okay. But I saw many LDR couples ending getting married and be happy, I hope it will be like that for each of us struggling with long distance!
My name is CATRINA SMITH.This is a very joyful day of my life because of the help DR DAN has rendered to me by helping me get my ex husband back with his white magic and love spell. i was married for 6 years and it was so terrible because my husband was really cheating on me and was seeking for a divorce but when i came across DR DAN email on the internet on how he help so many people to get their ex husband back and help fixing relationship.and make people to be happy in their relationship. i explained my situation to him and then seek his help but to my greatest surprise he told me that he will help me with my case and here i am now celebrating because my Husband has change totally for good. He always want to be by me and can not do anything without my present. i am really enjoying my marriage, what a great celebration. i will keep on testifying on the internet because DR DAN is truly a real spell caster. This makes me so emotiona... I live in France and my bboyfriend is from America, so...pretty taugh! But if u, guys, did it...so I can do it! Thanks for the joy and hope I see in those cartoons! :-)
Me and my wife can relate to this. The distance between us was much much greater in our case however. Denmark to America, at least 4000 miles or so.
That's so freakin' cute, I'm in a long distance relationship too and I know exactly how you feel! It's hard, but it's worth it!
