Man Tries To Give Serious BBC Interview, Forgets He Has Children
324Kviews
When on live TV, you can never go back and fix a scene that went wrong… And neither could BBC correspondent Robert E Kelly.
While talking about South Korea on BBC World News via webcam, Kelly got interrupted by his kids. First, one of his kids ran in bouncing in joy. Then, a baby in a stroller rolled in behind her. As if that wasn’t hilarious enough, afterward a woman swooshed in in hot pursuit to tidy the children away. But it looks much funnier than it sounds! See for yourselves below.
When your Dad is live on BBC News but you just can’t wait…

the woman! looks like someone from a SWAT team with a recuperation mission :'D
😂
She failed her mission and she knew it!
Yes! That woman's movement really made me laugh
hsuahsuashuashuashua, yeah I guess so! LOL She s an Avenger.
More like Mission Impossible 😂

She will be fired after this incident.
She is the mother not the nanny.
That little baby comes waddling in and I lost my life from laughing oh my word XD
I know...when the baby came in I lost it too. :D
You will be sorely missed. Amitabha.
I just want to give a moment of gratitude for all you pandas out there; I saw this same post on Facebook, and the comments were all just negatively criticizing the parents for being being cruel to their kids! Love how this community is so positive, kind, and not so narrow minded towards something that is actually quite innocently funny :)
You are so right. There is something about BP that I couldn’t find anywhere else
There seems only to be a few people on here that are just out there. Like John L. For example. But I think we can all handle that
Shannon Lockwood, oh please do shut up

Sure. Watching small children being handled roughly and screaming in pain is "funny". Hate to inform you of this but "kind" means to be caring of others. Laughing at anyone's pain is certainly not kind. Laughing at someone else's pain is in fact narrow minded, as one is only seeing the event from one's own perspective without taking into account anyone else's feelings.
Shannon, the kids weren't screaming in pain... And nobody is laughing at anyone's suffering... Are you having a bad day perhaps? Feel better!
Maybe he's not wearing pants? That's why he didn't want to pick up the kid...
that's may be true, or just English phlegm :D
Little baby dawdles in, NANNY KICKS DOWN DOOR LIKE SWAT AGENT AND DRAGS CHILDREN OUT guys just there like oh pardon me XD
She's the mother, not the nanny. I don't know why everyone's assuming she's a nanny. I guess one person said it and everyone just assumed they were right?
Yep, mom and not nanny. She appears to be Asian and the older child does as well. They're definitely related. It seems rude that everyone is immediately assuming nanny because she's Asian?
Something in her manner seemed sort of panicked as she runs in. She sort of seemed like the help, but thanks for setting the record strait.
Multiple sites have posted this video and identified her as the mom.
Okay, honestly, I don't know firsthand, but there are several people in the comments section of the Youtube video who are Korean and point out that the kids calls the woman "mom" in Korean. I'm going off of that. Otherwise, I didn't even consider "nanny" because I've never known anyone with a nanny, though I hear it's more popular in Britain among wealthier people.
Sorry. Someone did say it in the comments and I just assumed they were right
for me she looks quite younger than the man, so that was why I assumed she's a nanny, for e.g.

How do you know she's the mother not the many?
Oh comes on everyone, they didn't just assume she's the nanny because she's asian. It's the look of fear on her face, I thought it was the face of a woman who looks like she's about to get fired. So in that respect, I'm glad it's his wife.
From my side I got less fear and much more "oh shi--!" I don't have kids myself, but most of my friends are parents and it's a look I see often when something goes messily awry, as often happens with young children.
That's also what I thought. Thanks for clearing it up
She's the mother. Think about this, he is an expert on S. Korean studies, seems logical he'd have fallen in love with a Wife of Asian descent
Ahaha! Brilliant. I love how the little one rolls in like a boss.
They see me rollin', they hatin'
Lol!
This is the best thing I've seen today :D
He actually pushed his child away! He would've looked much, much better of a person if he had stopped talking and talked to the kid. Gosh.
He's probably in panic mode. We all have done something similar.
That's what I guessed too. He must be distracted and became to panic, live on TV
he's not just working, he's in a direct on BBC...not easy to handle this situation...The kid didn't ask anything anyway, he was just looking
True. The little girl was mistreated, BUT! From the smile on the man's face, you could see he's a loving father, and from the seriousness on the woman's face, you could see that she's a responsible mother. I believe the girl got compensated with something nice when the job was done and the cameras turned off.
Exactly what I thought!
So adorable. Hope he didn't get cross with his wife or nanny. It brought a smile to my face and hey, kids are kids. That's what life is all about.
Wife, not nanny
This whole thing is Soooooo British. I love it!!
Actually, Professor Kelly is from Ohio. BBC just called him up for an interview as they have done so in the past.
I hope he laughed about it too and didn't take it out on his children.
I love how the little girl walks into the room. Lalala, swaying back and forth. He's obviously a good dad. Otherwise, she would not have felt comfortable to just waltz right in and hang out next to him.
This is the best thing i've seen this week. Totally made my day.
Ah...The joys from working at home..It STILL beats commuting daily....
AMEN!
HOLD THE DOOR!! HOLD THE DOOR!
For those claiming that the woman in the video is the nanny please stop she is the mother.
But there's nothing wrong with being a nanny
I think the problem is because of her ethnicity, people assume she's the nanny. if it was a white woman crashing in there, no one would called her a nanny.
No one said there is. But she's the mom and not a nanny.
You can tell she pulled her pants up in a hurry a bit of her undies are showing. Poor mama was just trying to have a quick pee
That last desperate lunge to close the door just cracked me up
Best thing I've seen in awhile :)))
Me too. :)
This is absolutely brilliant. What a lovely family, he is desperately trying to keep composed with his kiddies strolling in. I can just imagine him nipping off to do a quick interview, and his wife thinking the kids are playing, ill pop to the loo for a moment, the joy of a seconds privacy, then, o holy crap, where are they! Haha just marvellous. 😏
The woman looked mortified! I hope he doesn't give her a lot of flack for that. They're kids.. slippery... like holding soap in a shower!
This is one of the best things I've witnessed in a long while.
This is the best thing that could have happened to him. I'm sure he just got a huge boost in ratings.
That family just made a golden memory that will always invoke laughter every time it's brought up for many years.
not that funny...
That little baby didnt want to miss out!! How cute was that?
I bet the door will be locked next time.
Some of those homes don't have a lock.
Picking her up and putting her in his lap would have been less distracting than pushing her away and having the woman come running in to make a scene.
Well, if he had done that there's a chance she would've come in like that anyway cause she wouldn't have known
You can tell that she is the Mom and NOT the nanny, seriously look, by looking at the kids. Those children are mixed race.
Then she could still be the nanny, or an aunty, or a friend, or a neigbour. Who cares?
I love how the girl gets run over by the baby trolley and the nanny has to drag her out
Mom, not nanny.
The only thing that could have made this better is if his wife would have looked at the camera on her way out and given a thumbs up! Have to admit though, first time I watched it was a little taken aback that he pushed her, but from watching again and again it's a gentle shove and by her reaction she has NO fear of her daddy.
I'm watching this later than I should be and I almost woke my parents up. I laughed so hard I fell out of bed XD
She's not just "a woman" - she's the mom!
She yanked the kid
i think it is the most watched BBC upload on YouTube now hahahaha..people just love comedy
BBC? I took that wrong sorry #DirtyMind
My mom showed me this on a different social media site. The trouble of children 😂 The woman made the whole situation so much by dragging the kids out of the room so forcefully and with so much unintentional humor
That little drift when the woman entered though hahaha i always do that when i was a kid and even now when the floor is slippery 😂😂😂 who else always do that? 😂😂😂
poor guy now they will never let him work from home again... but this is the cutest, funniest video... so what happens when you have kids! ... f8554a8c45...d8ddff.jpg
She looked scared and panicked for what he was going to say afterwards..and pulling the child out...i know it was meant to be reported as light hearted but i didnt take that way im sorry. We all have our opinions. But yes she responded fast 😊
Yes the mom went and got her kids quickly. What's the point?
I think the nanny was in the bathroom, and the kids got loose. That little girl walked in like a boss!
The mom was in the bathroom.
So funny.... he handled it gracefully but would have been funnier if he could have ran with it a little more hehe!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Lol should be titled Forgets to lock the door
The family was interviewed by bbc recently. The mom said she was watching/recording the live broadcast on tv when she suddenly saw her kids on the screen. Hahahaha rofl
What a total twat. All he needed to do was pick up the baby, put her in his lap and just go with the chaos, but no, he makes it worse by pretending it's not happening!!! Why didn't mummy just walk in, and sweep up the kids and walk out...did she think she became invisible crawling around? Although it was very funny....
Haha..... and the ninja comes swoops the kids out hilarious
That was sooooo cute!!!!!!! 😁😊😁😁😁😁😀
I seriously find this man more credible now and will look up other interviews and writings. He lives life's chaos, takes it in stride and is
Still an expert in his field. <also proves that LITERALLY, "Behind every good man.... " ( Wonder what her degree is in?) 8-D
Wakakaakakak... I laugh all the rest of my day after watching this... The man was so helpless when the kids and the wife suddenly walked into his "studio"
I Could just look this over and over and over again and just laugh!! So genuine ❤❤❤❤
Your family is So awesom!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Ahahhaa! Best thing ever! I love how he closes his eyes trying to compose himself! And that nanny! Sliding on the floor like a pro!
I can't stop laughing!!
Oh, this poor father! I hope they all (including his supervisors) managed to take it lightly. This happens to me all the time (in a much less public setting) when I have to have phone conferences from home (which is inevitable when working across multiple time zones in one call). The funny thing is that shouting kids in the background are so common there, yet everybods feels the urge to politely apologize for admitting to having a family too. I love how the kids refuse to be silenced!!
LOL Oh my God that's so cute. <3
I love the dragging of the child through the door lololol

I hope he didn't get mad at his wife or nanny for that. Big smile on many people's faces. Children are what it's all about and it makes even the most serious people look more real and down to earth to see their "other" life leak in...
