"Little Kids and Their Big Dogs" is a heartwarming photography project by Andy Seliverstoff that focuses on the unbreakable bond between little children and their supersized dogs. The photographer, 58, spent four months taking thousands of pictures in St Petersburg before compiling a book from the hundred best images. Andy has been a photographer for years but he's only recently started to take it seriously. He has a particular fondness for dogs, Great Danes especially, although his canine subjects also include Briads, Newfoundlands, and Black Russian Terriers.
"I always take plenty of time with the dog who's in front of my camera so I get to know the personality of my dog model the best I can," write the photographer on his website. "The personality and the character is unique for every individual dog. The human aspects we often recognize in our dogs are, among other things, what makes us feel so close to them. And it is this aspect I try to express in my photography." You can pre-order the book here.

the composition, the colours, the perfect moment and an imaginated story - I'd rather dislike picture combining cuteness (like kids & animals), but this one made my day - kudos to the photograph!

I don't see any dogs in the first set. All I see is a kid playing with a couple of mops in the snow. I'm kidding those dogs are huge.

The photos are truly lovely, but I always feel bad for dogs with that kind of fur whose owners refuse to trim it where it cover their eyes. Being able to see properly would immensely better their lives.
Hungarian sheepdogs NEED fur to cover their eyes. They're going to have sore eyes if you cut the fur, because those are very sensitive to dust and sunlight... of course you have to groom it and pull apart the bigger dreads but that's all.

How adorable...I don't really care for children but these photos are lovely. I wish all children could grow up with pets. They teach responsibility, unconditional love, and caring for things beyond the self. Thanks for sharing the photos.
