Homophobe Women Complain About A Lesbian Couple Kissing In The Pool, Get The Response They Deserve
A new online video captured a bunch of homophobes talking a walk of shame at the Kimpton hotel pool in Sacramento. The footage shared by The Black Bay Area media shows enraged pool guests storming off after allegedly telling “a queer black woman… stop kissing her girlfriend in the pool because there were children present!” But the guests were not buying into any of this homophobic BS, as they shamed the entitled ‘white party’ out of the Kimpton pool.
The incident didn’t stay unnoticed, catching the attention of 109,577 people on Instagram, including celebrities like comedian Kathy Griffin. Meanwhile, Alex Sanchez, the director of Sacramento LGBTQ+ Community Center, argues that the video reveals a double standard when it comes to LGBTQ+ and heterosexual relationships.
Sadly, the homophobic attack occured during Pride Month, which is a beautiful opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community and its friends and families to celebrate their identities and raise awareness of the discrimination they face.

The video CBS13 first reported on Tuesday shows the aftermath of what happened after a group of white women allegedly told a queer Black couple to stop kissing in front of their kids. The reaction of the fellow guests at the pool were dubbed ‘priceless’ online as they shamed the bullies out of the hotel.
But Alex Sanchez, the director of advocacy and training at Sacramento LGBTQ+ Community Center, believes the video highlights a double standard when it comes to LGBTQ+ and heterosexual relationships.
“Being transgender, being a Latinx woman, I always have that in the back of my mind, am I safe here? I want to just hold my partner’s hand sometimes but I don’t always feel comfortable because I don’t want to expose us to violence,” said Sanchez on CBS Local Sacramento.
The incident has also caught comedian Kathy Griffin’s attention

Another person noted that the incident at the Kimpton pool is reminiscent of an attack from 57 years ago when a white man poured acid in a pool full of civil rights activists

well...if they "kissed" in very sexual way and nearly ate each other...then tehy DID harm other people. Becuase it s disturbing and doesnt belong into public, but into private areas. That´s why there is this law, wher you can get punished for acting our sexual activities in public. Nobody knows if it had anything to do with them being "gay". Maybe it was completly irrelevant for the lady and this gay couple was just taking it personnaly and then attacking her for being homophobic. People quite often use the "discrimination card"...while they are the ones who offend.
Hmmm, the fact that no one else present demonstrated any objections, coupled with the fact that security did not ask the gay couple to leave due to public indecency basically proves your silly argument false.
I'm all for playing devils advocate, but there is nothing in that video that makes me think "we didn't see the kiss, maybe this was justified"

Georgy Avakov, witness, to CBS Sacramento: "The white women specifically targeted Ms. Veas (Domonique) and her friend, despite at least a dozen straighter, non-black couples and parents also in the pool and at the bar at the time, who were being just as affectionate." The man who took the video, Arthur Kaligos, also seems to share that opinion. "We are in Pride Month and when I saw that happen, something got triggered in me and I wanted to come to the young couple's defense."
Even if the kissing was being done in a gratuitous or inappropriate way, this kind of over-the-top, profane reaction is equally inappropriate in front of children. I'll definitely concede we don't see what she was reacting to, but that's not the entirety of the problem. The response to inappropriate public behavior, if that's what this was, isn't more inappropriate public behavior.

So in an extreme case, when people are having sex in the sauna...do you say..oh ..we are a free country...let´s let people love each other? - no, you wouldn´t. So stop showing off as a saint person.
