You Can Now Get Your Dog A Pair Of Leggings To Warm Their Paws

Dogs are always there to cheer up their humans. No matter if you had a hard day at work, school or are just feeling a little bit under the weather, they will always be there to make us smile. While usually the reason to smile is their own behavior, a clothing piece created by the company Walkee Paws might crack you up even more. These leggings were made especially for our furry friends, so they don’t freeze their paws off during harsh winters.

More info: Walkee Paws

While we’re pretty accommodated to leggings for humans at this point, doggy leggings is pretty new to the market

These leggings for dogs not only cover their paws from mud and all kinds of dirt but are also waterproof and help keep your pet warm in the winter. Seems just about perfect, right? Apart from that, let’s just admit they are pretty odd looking.

But some doggos seem to enjoy them

And sure, it could be just another trend that’s a bit hard to get accommodated to at first but then becomes the very first thing you reach out for every day. There’s no telling. But let’s agree the company did their job in trying to make them fashionable at least.

After all, it should be really nice not to be freezing your paws off

You can now dress your dog in these canine pants that come in the classic houndstooth, polka dots, camo styles, and the price varies from $19.99 to $29.99, depending on what size your dog is.

The leggings are available in various sizes and are suitable for all dogs

Although this idea seems to be one of those simple yet genius ones, people on the Internet are really unsure how to feel about them. Some actually have purchased them for their dogs, swear by them and couldn’t be happier about them while others mock their strange appearance.

So now your doggo can be a fashionista as well

The company states that dogs might take some time getting used to them, though

While some people loved them, some need some time to get used to them as well

I don't particularly like the way they look and I should imagine that dogs really would take some time to get used to them. However two dogs have died in the last two weeks in my small village from CRGV (Cutaneous and Renal Glomerular Vasculopathy) also known as Alabama Rot. If they are right in thinking that it's from walking in muddy areas maybe these leggings could actually help save lives. Something to think about.

If this were actual protective wear, I can see the purpose. For the aesthetic, though, these look ridiculous. It's okay to not dress most dogs.

It's okay to not dress ALL dogs. If your dog needs to be dressed up, it's either the wrong dog for the climate you're living in, so you basically f****d up when considering what dog to get. Or, the other possibility, it's one of those overbred abominations that only exist due to "aesthetics", like modern pugs that almost suffocate all the time because some people find it to look nice. One just shouldn't get such a dog in the first place, for the sake of your pet's livability. To sum it up, if your dog needs clothing, you f****d up when getting it.

They look weird, but could be easier to get on your dog than boots to protect from snow/salt in the winter. And perhaps stay on better too.

Yeah I was just thinking that. We have a smaller rescue dog with severe separation anxiety and so he goes with us everywhere. He is a single coat dog and doesn't do well in the cold and the salt does hurtful things to his paws but it's also hard for him to keep dog shoes on as they tend to come off when he runs around. Something like this would work well for his case.

Okay, yes, they look ridiculous, but I can see how they could be useful. If you're walking your dog in a muddy area or if you're walking your dog outside in winter time in areas with lots of salt, slush and ice - especially if your dog manages to fling off their booties easily - then these would prove useful. They could protect your dog's sensitive little toe beans. Or help keep your dog from getting too dirty and needing a B.A.T.H. when they get home.

No no no and NO. If you need t protect your dogs paws from the elements there are better options for sure. Again playing "dressing up". Dogs are not toys. I am so sick of seeing products like these.

I'm in the Phoenix area and can see these being useful in the summertime here....but they kind of look like they are giving those doggos a wedgie. ;-)

I can understand booties or shoes to protect their paws from the ice or hot sidewalks but this is just not right.

Would try these, might help with the snow and salt where I live not to mention all the licking once we come in from outside. But unless your dog doesn't mind all the fuss happening before getting out I think these would just end up a big hassle.

I have mini dachshunds. Never, ever work on their short legs. Plus they wouldn't move if I even tried to put them on.

All the dogs look silly but perhaps there is a purpose. Perhaps the bottoms could be water proof.

Oh, I'm VERY sure what to think, and it sums up to "why in the name of seven f*****g hells would you do that to your dog, and why did someone even invent this fabric-incarnated brain diarrhea in the first place?"
