Dog Waits One Month For His Family To Return, After They Left Him Behind While Moving Out
A family moved out of their home in Detroit, and left lots of trash behind them – an old mattress, pillows, some broken furniture… And a loyal dog. In fact, a pit bull pooch so loyal, he waited for his owners to come back for him for the whole month. Neighbors watched the sad doggie named Boo lying on a curb and would bring him food. Then one day they called Detroit Youth and Dog Rescue Center. When founder Mike Diesel arrived, Boo was in his usual spot. “He was just lying there, being his loyal self,” Diesel told The Dodo.
“Being the loyal dog he was supposed to be, he waited for his master to come back.” Diesel realized his mission was to help the pooch come to terms with the fact his family had left him behind. He knew he had to be very gentle with the doggie and befriend him step by step. So what followed next was days of Diesel doing his best to make the heartbroken and traumatized Boo feel comfortable and safe in his presence.
After some time (and food from McDonald’s), Boo was ready for a collar – and, eventually, to be put in the back of Diesel’s truck.
“We kind of talked to each other to make sure we understood each other’s feelings… He knew I wasn’t going to hurt him.”
Boo turned out to be a super friendly dog. Boo’s biggest dream now is a loving forever home.

I figger people [a******s] that abandon their animals, have no friends. EVEN I have found homes for my animals when I moved, & I have NO friends. I am lucky enuff to know people who like my animals......... If you abandon animals there is a sub-basement that leaks feces, in hell for you

How could people be so cruel to abandon their animals? It must be because they don't love their family. Once you have an animal in your home that becomes one of the family. I hope KARMA catch up with them.They make me sick.
Why don't we have a registry for people like this that will prevent them from ever owning another animal?

Dogs (well, any animal sharing your roof actualy) are family. YOU DON'T LET FAMILY BEHIND !!! I fear for the parents of these people because I have no doubt that when they will get old they will be abandoned too. Either at their home or in a retirement home until they die and their children can come claim the inheritance.

Did someone adopt Boo? This is so sad. I do not know how people can leave behind a pet. Boo is not garbage! Pets are intelligent and loyal. They are a gift from God that deserve to be cherished. All animals deserve love and respect. I pray Boo and all the other little lost ones, find good loving homes. Be kind to animals! Animals are kind to us!

And assuming that the neighbors were kind enough to bring him food since they knew he belonged to a former neighbor who moved away, i hope they sent a barrel of dung to that family and reported them to the animal protection and welfare authorities!

The sad thing about this is that this dog is being so faithful and loyal in waiting for his family to come back to him and these sorry people are not worth it. There are some people who can really connect with animals feelings and then there are the others who have no business at all to have a pet. They thought no more of Boo than the junk furniture they threw out. Boo had been giving his love and affection to a family that is no more than the trash they abandoned Boo in.
