Not all abortions are due to an unwanted pregnancy, and not all pregnancies are due to being irresponsible, contraceptives aren't 100% effective. shut your ignorant mouth up.

Condoms break, other medications interfere with the pill, the patch isn't guaranteed to work if you're over weight, in some countries you are limited in how long you can be on the injection (and heaven forbid after 3 months you forget to go back and get the next dose) and IUDs can go wrong. Oh, and these are all expensive and the US has a poor sex-Ed system and there is no guarantee that boys or girls are being taught "responsible" sexual practices. If you want women to take measures to prevent pregnancy, support organizations and initiatives that encourage education (of men AND women, it takes two) and helps provide men AND women with the tools they need to prevent pregnancy.

Hopefully you would get an early term abortion rather than a late one though. In the situation you are describing of just not wanting a baby there is no reason to delay the procedure, and the later in the pregnancy you are the riskier and more traumatic the procedure is.

You should have read my comment. I said there are plenty of families waiting to adopt in the US. In other countries, not so much. Thats why a lot of American families adopt from other countries, because most people are just killing their babies. They will go to a good home, because the price of adoption is very expensive, but it is just enough that people can afford. There are background checks and legal portions to make sure everything is in order. Give the child up to someone who wants to have a child and PHYSICALLY cannot. I don't want a baby either right now, and condoms are 98% effective when used properly. Use barrier methods and you won't have an issue.
