From nomophobia, an irrational fear of being without a mobile phone, to xanthophobia, a fear of the color yellow, countless phobias exist out there. Now this time, we’re delving into the mind of megalophobes, people who are in fear of anything large, like skyscrapers and jumbo jets.
In fact, there’s a whole corner of Reddit dedicated to sharing examples of this phobia known as megalophobia. “A place to post images of all things large, particularly ones that are 'triggers' for those with megalophobia,” the group’s description states.
Below we rolled up some of the most interesting examples shared on the group, so scroll down. Also, when you’re done reading this one, make sure to check out part 1 of the article.

OMG if you look at the centre there's an optical illusion that the darkness is spreading through the cheese...

The scene is an aging warehouse (in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy) of one or more makers of Parmigiano-Reggiano, the world's greatest hard cheese. The "wheels" are aged for 24 months and more on shelves tiered 12 or more high, with two dozen or so 70-lb wheels on each shelf. The man is core-sampling a wheel with a stainless-steel "needle" to check that it is aging properly. Another check is made just before a wheel can be released for sale. An inspector raises it on one rim (as above) and in a blur of movement taps it all over with a small hammer. The pound tells him whether the wheel is sound. If it is, it is then branded a torch and stamped as genuine Parmigiano-Reggiano, to be sold at upwards of $15 a pound. And worth every cent. Domestic "parmesan" and Argentine "parmgianito" are inescusably poor imitations.
" Made in a traditional cheese dairy. Comté Fort Saint Antoine, France is made from organic raw milk, and is a real rarity. The best Comtés from summer production are selected and then mature for 16 to 24 months in Fort Saint Antoine in the High Jura Mountains at an altitude of over 1000 m. A slightly crystallized texture with a wonderful, fruity, spicy taste is the unique result." COMTE-6379...b09721.jpg
