From nomophobia, an irrational fear of being without a mobile phone, to xanthophobia, a fear of the color yellow, countless phobias exist out there. Now this time, we’re delving into the mind of megalophobes, people who are in fear of anything large, like skyscrapers and jumbo jets.

In fact, there’s a whole corner of Reddit dedicated to sharing examples of this phobia known as megalophobia. “A place to post images of all things large, particularly ones that are 'triggers' for those with megalophobia,” the group’s description states.

Below we rolled up some of the most interesting examples shared on the group, so scroll down. Also, when you’re done reading this one, make sure to check out part 1 of the article.

Terrifying. These should not be in use ... we already talk about overfishing since like I was born ... and yet, year after year, more fish is feasted by humans, while this is nowhere near necessary to survive, but quite the opposite, diminishes our means to survive and increases likelihood of several catastrophic events. Fishing should stop now. For a decade at least.

Unfortunately you, or however many people being a vegetarian won't stop this. I'm amazed that nets are still legal, the devastation to marine life is horrendous.

Isn't commercial fishing responsible for a good portion of the plastic in the ocean?

Yes most of the plastic in the ocean comes form the fishing industry.

They should implement a law where you can only fish certain days of the week, like 3 days on and 4 off. We are taking the earth for everything it's got and then some. There is so much food waste on this planet, the powers that be just want to cash those checks. Wrong on so many levels

Current estimates say we will run out of fish in the ocean by 2050 if we keep doing what we do now.
