For 10 Years, I’ve Been Climbing And Photographing The Polish Tatra Mountains
I am Karol Nienartowicz, a 30 year old mountain photographer from Poland. For 10 years I have been climbing and photographing Tatras – the highest mountains in Poland.
The first time I went to the Tatras was in 2005. Then I won my first photo contest in which the prize was a weekend in pension in Zakopane – the capital of Tatra Mountains. From that moment I have crossed in Tatra’s 740 km and I have beat the sum of altitude difference equal 51 000 m.
The Tatras are one of the most beautiful high mountain ranges in Europe – next to the Alps, the Pyrenees and the Dinaric Alps. Tatra Mountains is a world of rock, alpine meadows and emerald green lakes.

Absolutely breathtaking photographs. Wonderful. Makes me feel like like i am seeing shots from a fantasy world. Especially the photograph of "Temnosmrecinska Dolina"..it reminds me of the mountains from Lord of The Rings Movies...
I love the tatras, both the Polish and Slovakian sides, but our family photos are nowhere close to these. Great

Amazing photos. I don't live in Poland any more, but seeing how precious my country is makes me proud. "Cudze chwalicie, swego nie znacie" świetnie oddaje to co w tej chwili odczuwam.
