Share on FacebookI am glad that the cat is okay and that was actually pretty darn funny. Carmilla is such a pretty black kitty and I love the cat name Bela Lugosi. Don't leave your drugs unattended in front of your cat. Also, don't leave your food unattended either.
Too many times this does not have such a cute ending, though. Such things should not be taken so lightly as the op.
Load More Replies...Many, and I mean many years ago, I had a pretty serious drug habit. In a moment of stupid drug induced paranoia, I left the stuff I was preparing to use sitting unattended on my coffee table. I didnt go far, in fact only about 3 feet. I had that undeniable drug fueled urge to peer out my window at the world, who I was positive was silently judging me. Well in the time it took me to go the 3 feet and let my eyes dart around suspiciously for a moment or two, my very tiny dog hopped up on the table and ate it all. This was a 5 pound dog who just ate enough drugs to mess up a hundred pound idiot, QUE FREAK OUT. I panicked, I yahoo'd, I cried, I prayed to every deity I had ever heard of, all the while my dog lounged on the sofa with this strange almost smirk and enjoyed the entertainment and prolly the buzz. After an hour she was her old self, it took me a bit longer to recover. As a side note, she lived a long happy life, and I am 15 years clean this year.
How about you go to a vet in stead of waiting it out? A vet could have given her activated charcoal or actually induce vomiting to keep her from tripping. I don't judge the use of weed and it's an honest mistake. But waiting this out? Poor cat. Bad owner. Sorry, not sorry.
Waiting it out in a dark room is what vets reccomend. It's cannabis after all
Load More Replies...You are aware that weed is toxic to cats and could have caused internal damage to liver and other organs? I have not laughed at this thread at all. It freaked me out how irresponsible someone can be.
Not to mention how poisonous chocolate is to cats as well...
Load More Replies...I haven't laughed this hard at someone's profile picture before!
Load More Replies...Anyway: DON'T EVER LEAVE DRUGS ÙNATTENDED! Cats, dogs, children and everybody else who doesn't really know what it is and how to handle it - and likely shouldn't have to handle it at all - might get seriously sick or even die because of such stupidity. There's no real excuse for that.
Please don't make your cat drink hydrogen peroxide. It can only harm your cat.
My dog got into my daughter's boyfriend's edibles. It was a lot of edibles. I thought he was going to die. Turned out, he had a really good time; like really good, for about 18 hours. Gonzo was stoned out of his mind. Totally loved his reflection for about an hour. Could not get enough of it. If you ever thought you saw a dog smile, you haven't. My dog was smiling; like for real smiling for a long time.
I'm glad the cat is ok, I would've freaked out and called the vet ASAP if my dogs did this. From personal edible experience -- that poor cat must have been tripping hard!! Those times are never fun. I can no longer consume "special" cookies in my old age haha.
As I read the title I was thinking, oh what a stupid person, I have two cats, one black who is the wild one and I love her, my Siamese is a quiet girl, they play together and I laugh and laugh, but my black girl keeps me on my toes, she is always looking for something to get into, therefore I now understand how it happened, but I am extremely cautious, if I drop a pill, I am on my hands and knees until I find it before Missy does !!!
Maybe call a vet or animal poison control instead of laughing & taking pictures ?
Part of me was horrified... and the rest of me couldn't stop laughing. Oh poor Carmilla... human nip is not for kitties!
I just about cried laughing! I had two black cats that looked a lot like Carmilla. Salem especially loved eating hen pellets. Well, those darn hens liked to wander into the kitchen and eat cat food, so it was only fair. He never laid an egg though.
My Westie ate a bud that fell on the floor. Fastest grab ever! Anyway, he was statue dog for about 2 hours. No harm done.
Best. Thread. Ever. My garbage monsters (7) basically will do that too. And regardless of if it's food (no food is safe) or not. Plastic crinkles and therefore contains something to put in mouth. Mini s**t Mercury bit through the shopping bags (the recycle reuse ones) and opened a jar of marshmallow to use to make fudge, a sports drink bottle, and a box of (gasp) zipper bags. So go to put stuff away. Everything is now wet. And sticky. An gross. Cats. Yeah.
Never make your cat puke yourself because google tells you it's possible. It can poison your animal (salt is used a lot and can cause salt poisoning). It's not always a good idea to make an animal puke after eating something. A vet should be the judge of that. NEVER wait it out. Some things can cause serieus (kidney)damage, and you won't always see that without doing bloodwork. This story makes me so sad.
Poor Carmilla must have been terrified! If a person has a bad trip, they know why it's happening, but she had no idea what hit her. I'm glad she's OK! This feature serves as a warning to other cats' humans.
Where does this woman get the NERVE to tell the world how stupid she is? Would she do the same if a 2 year old ate the adult sized dose of THC?? This is how messed our society is - when negligent idiots and criminals can post their deeds and some people think its humorous. She doesn't deserve to raise a houseplant.
Chocolate can be poisonous to dogs and cats so be careful having that around them
For many years I had dogs, now I have two cats, with cats more caution is required they can reach the impossible, however, my little story is amazing, I know the cats and dogs can die from chocolate, one Christmas I went out for the evening and left a dish of, individually wrapped chocolate, when my friend and I got home, there were 3 wrappers on the carpet, thank God my sweet boy was fine, but the 3 wrappers were not torn, so me dog was gentle if I had no witness, who would have believed me, prior and after, I never had a dish of I had chocolates, it was a gift that I had forgotten, if my dog was harmed, it would have been my fault !!!
Load More Replies...When I adopted my cat Sunny I wasn't prepared when he came home. The second day he was batting around my silicone ball container for concentrates. He was gnawing away on it too but a high quality container is worth the money. I put everything up after that but the sneaky bastard will steal a few nibbles from the rolling tray when Im spinning one up so it's door closed now
So, sometime ago my boyfriend had a weed plant on the balcony. Just 1, as it I demanded it had to be legal. Our cat ate some of the leaves as, you know, cats love eating grass or other grass-like plants sometimes. I guess it already had some thc on the leaves as a little bit later poor cat was paralyzed with pupils as big as dishes. She looked very scared. No internet back then but I figured as it was just a natural plant, I just had to comfort her. She sobered up in a few hours too and from that moment on, every time she found out we had a plant again she did all she could to eat them again! We had to protect the small sprouts but when the were big enough we would let her. She did not eat them all the time and she never got as stoned as the first time. I do not believe it was harmful... If a cat eats one cookie, don't worry too much. Might not be very good but just one time isn't gonna kill them... Love the thread and and the cute-stoned-faced-kitty 😻😻😻
Pretty clever that the cats managed to pick out the chocolate chips and leave them behind... it's hard enough for a human who has fingers and thumbs to remove the chocolate chips from a cookie let alone a cat with paws. As for the pictures of the 'stoned' cats, just looks like normal behaviour of a cat...... I'm calling BS on this story.... it's all for drama and social media fame.
My 9 month old German Sheperd did this recently ! He's huge , so his head is at counter height . I had just cut up a batch and was letting them cool down before I put them in the freezer . I literally turned around and grabbed a paper towel when my daughter goes "Mom! Leo!""(she's 23 ). Thank goodness she did that ! I was able to turn around and yank the brownies away, but not before he swallowed one whole . Did the peroxide thing , it worked.... but I guess we waited too long because he got super stoned . He kept jumping around but not coordinating his front half and back half , so he looked like he was doing a floppy fish thing but he remained upright . He sat and stared at the floor for a loooooooooong time . Now anytime I get a brownie from the freezer , or make a new batch ... he sits and begs at me ! I don't think so young man, not while you're still living under my roof 😂😂
I've seen cats being high. I had a cat with a plastic-habit - he tried to eat all plastic bags and the like that he could reach - so these were banned of course. I also saw cats approach someone's little plantation and get high af multiple times (I was a child then and didn't really understand what my friend's uncle was talking about, but got it a few years later...). In all honesty: This be true or not ... cats enjoy being high, but one should provide catnip so it's something their digestive system can handle - and keep an eye on it, this shouldn't be a daily habit, just because we humans f**k up our drug use, we have no right to expand our stupidities outcome onto our pets. Later, I saw cats actively approaching the smoke their humans exhaled if it was weed, to me looking like trying to second-hand smoke and get high. At least they went to sleep afterwarts, but this indicates nothing. Cats sleep longer than any human weedhead will ever get to accomplish, no matter how hard he try.
This is random but I love the rug the kitties are sitting on.under the armchair.

Crazy cat lady wanting attention... Not worth my time, not funny...
LMAO. That sh*t is funny. Glad she survived unharmed. She didn't get any wicked munchies? Guess she got her fill from just the cookie.
Funny and I'm glad your cat is okay. Just to be safe though you should dispose of all your dope cookies. It just so happens that I know a guy.......
Gosh darnit, I'm not supposed to browse Bored Panda while teaching - but that was a very unprofessional snort. Hilarious!!! And I'm glad to read your garbage monster is fine.
I literally do not believe that. Either the cats aren't cats. No cat would go near cold bags, cookie or smell of weed... Unless they're starved, indoors and go for anything but still no. Call it all a bollox.
sometimes, if the cat has lived on the streets for too long since birth, they'll eat everything they can found even after they found a loving home and is not hungry at all. since they're taught that if they don't eat what they find, they'll starve. some of the cats will even search things in the trash bin everyday, guess that habit is hard to be forgotten
Load More Replies...My roommate decided he was going to Grow Weed, so he started 12. They were just mere seedlings (about 2 tiny leaves on a inch stem) when he left his door open. We realized the problem when the tuxedo kitten weaved out (and I do mean weaved, front paws crossing each other) of his room to sit on my foot. Roommate screamed in anguish: the little stinker had eaten them down to the dirt. No ill effects, just one massively high kitten.
You are a liar. There is no thc in seedlings ergo, the cat would not have been high.
