Someone Starts Making Fun Of Kit Harrington Checking Into Rehab, Gets Shut Down By Fans
Multiple sources state that Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington has checked into a rehab clinic. The actor who portrayed Jon Snow reportedly has been in the luxury wellness retreat since before the finale of the show aired tackling stress, exhaustion, and alcohol. It appears that the grueling work schedule to which Kit had dedicated his life to had taken a toll he couldn’t carry. Some people, however, thought that it was a good opportunity to mock both the “weak” actor and the show he starred in. Luckily, those who still have a bit of basic human decency are rallying to support him.
Jon Snow’s alter ego, Kit Harrington, found filming the finale of Game of Thrones too much and as a result, checked into a rehab facility

“Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues,” his representative said in a statement.
According to Page Six, “The British actor has been undergoing psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy to combat stress and deal with negative emotions at the facility which costs over $120,000 a month.”
It’s said that Kit was hit really hard by the end of Game of Thrones to which he dedicated almost 10 years of his life

His wife, Rose Leslie, 32, whom he met on the set of Game of Thrones and played Jon Snow’s Wildling companion Ygritte, is being “extremely supportive” of this move.

Others, however, started shutting them down one by one explaining why mental health is not a laughing matter

Speaking to Esquire in April, Kit said that he broke down after filming Snow’s final scenes. “My final day of shooting, I felt fine . . . I felt fine . . . I felt fine. . . Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit,” he said. “Then they called, ‘Wrap!’ and I just fu*king broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again. It wasn’t so much about Jon. It was about not being in this world, not getting to smell those smells, fight those fights, be with these people—the whole package.”
“But the weirdest bit was when we came off set and they started taking the costume off and it felt like being skinned,” the actor added. “It felt like they were unceremoniously, for the last time, ripping off this character. I was still blubbering my tears. The costume girls were like, ‘Fu*king, come on, get it together.’ I’m being very actorly and crying. I remember going, ‘Wait, wait, wait!’ And they wouldn’t. They just ripped. I was like, ‘I need to say goodbye.’ But it was too late. He was gone.”
You can hear a lot of emotions in Kit’s words during his last moments on the set of Game of Thrones

Share on FacebookIf your arm breaks, you see a doctor. If your liver needs mending you see a doctor. Virus-doctor, heart problems - doctor, etc etc etc Your brain and mind need some help and attention- deal with it on your own, don't be weak. You're rich, don't be a baby! Does make any sense at all?
Weird how people say that yet there is no broken arms anonymous. It’s still a huge stigma being an alcoholic vs being traditionally sick. But I get it’s moving in the right direction
Load More Replies...I don't understand why people have to act like this, the media is at fault as well - why are they covering this as if he's doing something wrong by being in rehab? It's fantastic that Kit is a strong enough person to admit that he has a problem and even braver for checking himself into rehab - I wish more people were like him.
The terrible topic of this thread aside, I‘m deeply moved by how much this actor loved the series. It’s depressing for fans to find out that their favourite actor actually disdains the show they care so much about. And vice versa, of course - hearing Vic Mignogna sing „Brothers“ from FMA was incredibly touching, for example. For Kit Harrington to declare his love for the entire GoT series is wholesome.
This s**t is why lots of young men don't seek help, and the reason why suicide is the number one killer of men under 40 in the UK. Him admitting publicly that he needs help is a far braver thing than anything the trolls have ever done.
The Mask You Live In is an interesting documentary on the subject. The amount of stuff "real men" feel they aren't allowed to do. It's sad. Then a few days later I see an episode of Magnum where Magnum and Rick are taking the p**s out of TC for having taken dance lessons as a kid. You realise how it just goes on, even in a program produced by supposedly PC Hollywood.

The guy spent 10 years on this, starting at age 12. It's a HUGE part of his young life. Met his wife, found a whole separate set of family that he suddenly won't see. It's like a high school graduation after 10 long years and you are saying good bye to so many people. His character is emotionally draining. He is a fantastic actor on the show. If he needs to go to rehab to recover, then he should. It's a huge flip of a young life. Applause to him for taking care of himself!
People are joking about mental health still? In 2019 with all the information we have? Pathetic. Kit was just a boy when he started GoT. Thrown into the spotlight, on the most popular show in modern times, it became a part of his identity, as would be quite natural. Now he's a man, he's married, and the very thing that has been central in his life for the last decade, the very thing that brought he and his wife together, is gone. There would be grief in that. Many of us struggle to find our place in the world when we're young, to have to do it so publicly is something I don't envy at all. I wish him nothing but the best, and hope he finds whatever it is he's seeking.
I think it's time Jon Snow turns the tables and says, "You know nothing..."
People should and do joke about everything. Nothing is off limits with regards humour. Most people would laugh at a genuinely funny joke which had a punch line about being struck by lightning and killed. Unless you lost someone who was struck by lightning and killed. My point is should that joke be condemned because it might upset someone? No, of course not.
Amazing how mental health becomes such a pressing issue when it happens to someone you recognise from TV...
in the end its just a job,you done your job, move on,his not the first person that has happened to !!
Went to something similar when i left army after 7 years of service.... Alchool was a "refugee", i realized in time that was no solution and looked for help. No matter what, when you dedicate youself so deep to something for so long, when is taken from you you may get lost. If you feel lost, look for help
The fact that Kit needs to go to rehab is totally normal and not even a question. But.. so many people also need it, but can't afford it. Someone said Kit invested 10 years into series. So did we all, in our jobs, and much much more years and hours. My suggestion is instead of making fun of people who need rehab or recreating or any kind of rest is to make it available for everyone, firefighters, teachers, surgeons, software developers like me :) (seriously, my both arms and hands are under serious chronic tendonitis for years), workers in retial... everyone needs this. Not just wealthy people. World would be a better place if everyone had chance to rest, rebuld and feel better. Just sayin'
Imagine Heath Ledger sought help when he needed to? We'd still have the Joker. Don't make fun of other peoples struggles.
And I see photos on the Daily Mail of him this morning, taken at the retreat. Any photographer who stalks a person in this situation, or writer who writes a story around those photos needs to take a good look at themselves. That kind of harrassment could push a vulnerable person over the edge.
I am proud of him for saying "I don't want it." to stress and alcohol abuse. Takes strength and courage even to admit you have a problem let alone seek help. He's doing the right thing that's what Jon would do when needed. No matter what Kit's Jon snow will always be our favorite.
Good for him on seeking help. I hope he motivates others who are also struggling with addiction or mental problems to seek help. I wish him all the best.
Yup, got a kidney infection as well as a spinal issue and went to the Dr. Anything??? Anybody??? no shaming?? no smart a*s remarks?? And if I had heart issues and could afford the top guy and spent 50 grand for 1 hours of his time, would that cause anyone to insult me? Jezz I wish some people would give up internet for life!!!
It must be hard to have been with the rest of the cast daily for 10 years, and now have to move on. Hopefully they'll all keep in touch and support each other
Maybe be considerate and not refer to him as "Jon Snow's alter ego" then?
I don't get why some of you guys getting down voted.
