This Black Cosplayer Is Breaking The Racial Boundaries Of Cosplay In Amazing Ways
In honour of Black History Month, cosplayers across social media platforms are participating in #28DaysOfBlackCosplay, including Instagram star Kiera Please.
The 21 year-old Virginia native has taken the Internet by storm, and we're not just talking about the time she did Storm from X-Men. Whether she takes on Anime or American cartoons, her ability to transform into any character she chooses is truly awe-inspiring.
Kiera is participating in a hashtag challenge created by fellow cosplayer Chaka Cumberbatch that aims to break down racism in the cosplay community. The challenge is a celebration of multiracial talent, and promotes equality and inclusion for everyone interested in cosplay, especially young people of colour who may otherwise feel unwelcome. Check out her best looks so far below!

Wow she is beautiful :-) She makes even more beautiful Melpomene than the original :-)
#2 Kida Nedakh From Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Well... Turns out I am not as heterosexual as I thought I was when I started this article. Sweet!

What do you think ?
Who in the cosplay world is making people feel unwelcome?! My (admittedly limited) experiences have been nothing but positive, and I have witnessed nothing but acceptance, regardless of race, religion, etc.
Why does the headline specify the cosplayer is black?
because of #28DaysOfBlackCosplay
Black History Month?
And because Black people are often discriminated against in the cosplay world. Amazing as that seems! Stories like this can encourage more people of color to express their love of cosplay despite the haters.
Are they? I have never seen that happen. I think most people in the cosplay world don't care about that. It more about your cosplay then anything else. This store only divide by call attention to her race. Her cosplay are really good.
she has a beautiful smile :D & her cosplays are on point! :)
