i used to taste a bit of beer when I was younger, it was gross so I didn't have it again. it's bitter so I doubt the kid likes it that much

When I was younger my mom would SOMETIMES let me have sips. I was not that young though.

When I was little (3 I think) I would always ask my mom/dad if I could try some of they're beer/wine. They NEVER did anything like this, this is putting your child at risk of DYING/ having an addiction when they grow up!!

My in-laws gave beer to my 1 1/2 year old nephew and didn't see anything wrong with that. One time I came home and there were beer cans everywhere and my 2 year old son was holding one trying to drink from it. I had a fit. My husband and his brother laughed because they thought I was the crazy one.

When I was about nine and older, my parents would let me have a thimbleful every once in a while, like once every few months or so, because I hated the taste and they wanted me to think that it was disgusting so I wouldn't drink it. If there was something I even slightly liked, I was never allowed to have it again.

Did you realize how filthy your finger nails are? And then you shove your beer in to your daughters face? Any alcohol given to a child can have bad consequences. A reaction, or allergy, toxicity, she could become intoxicated and fall and hurt herself badly. That, is not being a good mum!

Some liquor on the gum for toothing ... well, it wasn't THAT known back then, but Lidocain would have worked better. Anyway, there is a huge difference in dosage and reason here, and while whiskeyed gums still aren't the best of ideas one may have here, it at least isn't intoxicating a child for literally nothing...

When I was 18 months old we flew to England. I ran up the aisle and nabbed someones beer and drank some. I think beer is gross, have never had more than a sip in my life...have washed my hair with it though.
