Invention ideas for kids it's not something that we usually see in our grown-up world, but it turns out, that some of the little humans have even greater imaginations than us, adults. British designer and inventor Dominic Wilcox asked over 450 children across Sunderland and South Tyneside, UK, to come up with ideas for crazy inventions. Then, he chose around 60 ideas of 600 submitted drawings and presented them to local makers that could help with manufacturing.
The kids were invited to explain their selected inventions themselves. The makers had only four weeks to produce real-life objects, making sure that they created exactly what the kids wanted. The project was called "INVENTORS!"
"The children were the stars, and I gained so much pleasure seeing them getting excited about their and other peoples' ideas," Wilcox told Bored Panda. "Instead of just putting the drawings on the fridge door as most adults do with a child’s drawings, why not push the ideas as far as they can go?" states the project’s website. "Taking the power of children’s imaginations seriously and see where it leads to."
These genius kids have come up with ideas solving not only everyday problems but also more serious issues, such as wars and helping people with disabilities. Scroll down to see the amazing inventions for kids from kids themselves.

Pringles Hook
Just slide a piece of paper vertically between the can and the chips, then turn the can on its side so the chips sit on the paper. Then slowly pull the paper out. The chips will ride the paper out with them.
The hook would come with the can, you could make them cheaply enough. Tilting the can means making a mess. I think this is a brilliant idea.
Its a not a good idea because what if they fall or you dont want to eat all of them then the hook is uneccesary.
Load More Replies...It's a child's invention... Try to praise their efforts rather than criticise!!
Load More Replies...i love the art that you made frome gavinbenjamin phillips .net texting you
Cool!Answer to dear JenFalanga's question: the factory could put the hook in before the chips.
I like that! OMG why dont they come with one of those?! I need to have ONE!
this is amazing because then you won't take the risk of crumbling your chips and they will be easier to take out and eat!
The point is. Designed by a child. Fun way to enourage kids. Dont take it so seriously!
no no no just no, would be a terrible amount of waste , how many tubes of pringles get sold daily. how much more c**p do we need to put in landfills. A for effort kiddo ofc but not a good idea.
i don't know but its for lazy people and i think the hook comes with the can but i don't know you should ask the little kid that made this
Why can't people just put their hand on the top on flip the can upside down?
China Pringles like already use something like this.... is this plagiarism?
you empty the pringles and put the hook inside haha if their going to remove the chips maby as well do just that to gettem out
I think this invention is practical, original , clever and crazy . I love this invention !!!
yeah, right, open can, pull all the pringles out, put the hook in, put chips back - yeeey, we got the new invention
Food Cooler
Family Scooter
Leaf Catcher
The Liftolator (War Avoider)
Its sad that kids have to think about that at all. But very creative though...
Self Waterer Plant Pot - S.W.P.P.
I think it's good for busy people, but it kinda takes away from the beauty of the plant to have a pump and bowl around it
Ezy Slice Fryer (Instant Fries)
Glasswards
The Paint Slatta Baby Sleeper
Shout-Activated Camera
I like the addition of the multicoloured blob, true to original drawing :)
Handy High 5
Creakless Slippers
Fab ideas, what imagination. First few were brilliant and I could see them being used. It got a bit James Bond-y towards the end, but great fun.
Some good ideas. Getting tng kids to think creatively is always a good idea
What struck me was the appalling handwriting of some of the older entrants. I know they all use technology now but surely handwriting should still be an important skill to be taught
You are missing the point. I'm 27 and my handwriting is s**t. They will be just fine. I would be worried for the 54 year old kid dough. It would have been so cool if his name was Benjamin.
Load More Replies...Liked almost all of them. The war one just made me feel sad. I'm not a kid (sorry, kid), but it's NOT a solution for life.
Just be thankful they CAN write. There are thousands of kids who, teachers and schools allow to "graduate" without ever learning the skill.
Is it only me that wants to know how you get the pringle hook down into the tube to pull them up?
am I the only one that noticed that the first "kid" is 54 years..
well done to all the kids. some of the inventions are a little city but it's cute all the same
I think the idea is absolutely brilliant. We need to pass this forward throughout the world. Oh and please, stop being so pedantic about the children's handwriting - for me the fact that they used their brains is good enough.
