Just a couple of days ago, it was a papa lion crouching down to meet his baby cub for the first time. Today, it’s two little kids playfully hitting each other in the face with a trash can lid. The internet is quite wonderful, isn’t it?

The current reigning viral video shows two boys in orange and green shirts taking turns around a trash can and playfully whopping one another on the face with the lid multiple times. Although the footage might seem violent from the first glance, every time one of the boys takes a hit to the face, both of them have a giggle. They even have a mini fight over who’s gonna be in charge of pushing the pedal to initiate the blow.
People have shared this video all over the internet, but it was best received on Twitter where users decided to “meme-fy” the boys’ actions. One of the captions read “this is why women live longer than men” together with a laughing emoji. Well, they have a point, don’t they?

I hate to admit this, I would have done this as a kid. I'm female. Used to climb a tree jump from a nice high branch to garage roof, then back again. So dad cuts branch off, challenge accepted. Further distance to jump but success.
Same, I don't get these kind of stereotypes. As a kid, I spun myself around in circles so much I hit the wall, many times. Climbed up on the balcony like my cat did. Grabbed every lil buggo I could find. Female too!

Ill probably get downvoted but this is absolute F*****G B******T, this is not proof women live longer than men, this is kids soing what kids do, mucking around with siblings, has NOTHING to do with the gender
Reminds me of when one of my nephews (then about 2, now about 30) was tilting a dining room chair and banging on the edge of the table. He'd cry when it tilted back and hit him in the head, but he kept doing it.....
When we did this kinda stuff as kids there was one rule. First one that bleeds loses. That's usually when some adult would make you stop having fun.
Tomboy here....would have kept smacking my friends (mostly guys) over and over on the head
I hope someone asked them their preferred pronouns before they were gender assigned as “boys”
