Actor Jonah Hill Expresses His Joy After Adopting A 3-Year-Old Doggy, Gets Praised by 336K People On Instagram

It’s always great news to hear about a celebrity deciding to adopt a rescue dog or cat instead of buying one, encouraging their fans to do the same. With that being said, let’s talk about the actor Jonah Hill and his new incredibly adorable best friend named Fig.

Recently, Jonah Hill adopted a 3-year-old charcoal grey pit bull terrier from Love Leo Rescue in Los Angeles. Turns out, the doggy had been abandoned by her owners at a rural shelter during the holiday season.

Apparently, the pup was dumped by her owners at the Victor Valley shelter during the holiday season. Fig was confused and scared and was clinging to the shelter staff. Since the shelter team felt heartbroken to see her alone, especially during the festive season, they found her a foster home.

Yesterday, the animal rescue went on Instagram to share the good news about Fig’s adoption and to thank Jonah Hill along with all the other people who took care of the doggy when she needed it the most.

“Fig is home! Thank you @jonahhill for choosing to #adoptnotshop. All the cool kids are doing it!!” the rescue team wrote in their post. “This beautiful, extra cuddly, three-year-old pit bull was abandoned at a rural shelter during the holiday season. We are so happy she landed where she did. Clearly it’s a love connection.”

“It truly does take a village,” the team added after thanking all the kind-hearted people. “Every shelter dog that’s adopted puts the squeeze on breeders (or greeders as we call them). We’re loving this adoption story and are so grateful we could be part of her journey. Happy life!”

“You gave me a massive gift,” the actor wrote in his Instagram post

After adopting Fig, Jonah Hill also went on Instagram to share a couple of cute photos and thank the animal rescue for all of their hard work. “Thank you so much @loveleorescue you gave me a massive gift and I appreciate you and the work you and your foster parent volunteers do,” the actor wrote in the description of the post.

You just have the feeling that the previous guardians of this doggo got a new puppy for the festive period and left this one at a shelter. In a few years they will do it again.

3.3 million rescue dogs are adopted each year in the US without any recognition - just regular people doing the right thing. A celebrity adopts a dog and gets singled out as a hero. Hats off to the regular people. Thanks!

But when I celebrity does something like this, people take notice. This is good for the rescue and good for the breed. My take away from this was that the RESCUE was the hero.

It's so wonderful that Fig found such a beautiful home with such a wonderful owner. And that it is highlighted by her gorgeous smile the real true nature of a pit bull in that they are such sweet gentle loving dogs. I hope they both have a long and happy life together furever

I applaud this guy for adopting. My beef is with the people who dumped this pup, just like those who think it would be cool to get the kiddos a live Easter bunny. Invest in the stuffed, not ones with hearts and bodily functions like growing or making an impact in any way on the personal lives that think they can just dump them in a shelter and walk away without even breaking a sweat in the effort.

Just once I'd like to see how those who abandoned what every well could have been a living Christmas gift they put no thought into it's actually being ALIVE see some kids who agree to play along with sitting in a shelter after outgrowing their cuteness factor or need new shoes every two days because they are ALIVE and just doing what living things do. They'd probably bitch about it but that's as far as they'd go. They'd never fit in the pocket of those tote bags like a puppey and all those haters that pass judgement they put up with really wouldn't get the whole kid as accesory look. Plus kids can be such a pain and say repeat, verbatim, with the same ability to sound exactly like the person who said it like a parrot on shore leave.

This guy only has a career because of ethnic connections. Like a lot of others who were made famous despite lacking any real talent (Ben Stiller.) Funny how no one mentions that privilege.

Is there any particular reason you felt the need to post something so antisemitic? Nazis lost the war. Get over it and get out of your mommy’s basement.
