A Person In The Middle Of Making Glasses
I've been wearing glasses for nearly 30 years and I've never seen that before. Always interesting to see the differences between different parts of the world!
I'm in the UK, I'm 36 now and have been wearing glasses since I was 14. For a long while we had these which the optician would sit on your face and manually put in different lenses before asking the "...is it better with one, two, three....?" etc. whilst you looked at an actual chart taped to the opposite wall. Nowadays, a thing comes down from the ceiling which looks like a huge pair of goggles which you look through and the different lenses are electronic and the chart is a projection.
Load More Replies...When my glasses broke once and the optician didnt have and spare of right sort to lend I tried to borrow one of those. Would have been a perfect strenght for me!
And you need to wear these for at least 15 min. ... in the waiting room... I know the pain :)))
really? in my experience, these are the things that they ask you "is this one or this one clearer"? and you're so blind you can't even see a difference

Literally the look on my carer's face when an old lady in town started following us around a shop and having a go at her for only "serving" me, when she repeatedly told her that she didn't work there and kept pointing to the logo on her smock. (She comes with me so I can grocery shop as I'm physically disabled).

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?" "Is it plugged in?" "have you disabled the firewalls?"
Bizarre, strange, existential, and creative- I kind of really love the idea.
This is great. This Halloween I think I will be person on hold for customer service for 45 minutes.
HA! that's exactly what I am dressed as today (@ work lol as a disgruntled call center employee!!)
Load More Replies...If these were not from japan, I would find them boring but somehow knowing these were japanese ideas i found them interesting.
For some reason the Japanese get a total pass at being completely crazy. I love it.
Load More Replies...I think this post is amazing. While the costumes were simple, the effort to create the characters were not.
Great idea..next year I'll wear a red shirt and khakis and be "person mistaken for Target employee on black Friday"
you need to put a big footprint in the middle of that shirt if its supposed to be black Friday! lol
Load More Replies...Actually a lot of these are pretty good! Simple, easy, cheap....my kinda costume
That's why they're wearing cards that explain their costume.
Load More Replies...they forgot when you forget to do your homework and at 5:00 in the morning your rushing to get it done
these are so creative & HILARIOUS!!! so simple but so effective. every single one cracked me up!! what an excellent idea for an office party!
maybe I will be strange but, to see these people who dress up every day to make a costume, with even stupid inspirations, like the ink stain of a pen in the pocket, make me very sad. they are so driven to perfection that they see stupid things, like the boy who wipes his hands on his trousers, something that scares enough to be a costume for a scary party. it means that they are truly sad and crushed by the society in which they live.
I feel like I may have missed something in the translation? I didn't realize these were supposed to be scary costumes/situations - i thought they were just mundane things that can happen to anyone but make it a costume?
Load More Replies...Way too many accessories to carry around for most of them. And the humor is wasted on me. I don't find "store manager in training" or "person who only owns nike shoes" particularly creative or fun.
