Paparazzo Touches Jennifer Lawrence’s Dog, And Her Rude Reaction Sparks Heated Discussions

Hollywood’s sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence just taught the whole world a lesson never to touch her dog without her permission. One unfortunate paparazzo who managed to anger the actress was on the receiving end of it all…

As Lawrence was leaving LAX airport with her doggie, Pippi Lawrence Stocking, a paparazzo asked her, “have you been scared off flying private for good now?” The question was in reference to a scary situation the actress found herself in earlier this month when her private plane en route to her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, had to make an emergency landing due to engine failure.

Lawrence ignored the paparazzo’s inquiry, but then the man made a huge mistake. He saw a puppy walking by the actress’s side, and decided to pat the cute pooch.

Just when he extended his hand towards the dog, Lawrence scooped Pippi into her arms, and said: “Don’t touch my dog you f****** loser.”

Now people are either siding with Lawrence or with the paparazzo. What’s your take on it? Share in the comments below, and remember – whatever you do, do NOT touch Jennifer Lawrence’s dog!

(h/t)

Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence is crazy about her dog, Pippi Lawrence Stocking

Therefore, when a paparazzo tried to touch her dog on the way out of the airport…

The actress gave him a harsh lesson the man will remember for a very long time

Some people were quick to agree with Jennifer:

Others said she over-reacted, big time

I don't particularly care about Jennifer Lawrence one way or the other but after watching the video, I have to say her assessment about that guy is spot on. The TMZ office seems like an amazing collection of vacuous morons. If anyone on here feels like they are wasting their life, please take comfort in that at least you are not a despicable leach like those TMZ folks.

These people are truly loosers, as the actress said. Pathethic people. I would not be afraid to say it directly in their faces. I sometimes judge, but if your profession is "being judgmental", you do have issues.

My guess: The people who support all know what it's like to have a dog, whereas the others probably didn't have a dog or didn't have a dog that is protective

My guess: The people who criticize Lawrence for this don't understand that her reaction is not about the dog, rather about how annoying paparazzi are in general. I can guarantee you she would not react this way if a normal person touched her dog.

TMZ is made up of a bunch of c***s, but even if they weren't, I've never met a person who touched someone's dog without permission unless they were an unaccompanied toddler. Asking is just polite and the way to make sure the dog isn't aggressive.

Well, I mean, yeah, she may have overreacted, but when a paparazzi person or whoever is up in your face and everything, she was entitled to a little annoyance. Plus, haven't they ever heard of manners? You don't just walk up to someone and start petting their dog without asking- it's rude and sometimes even dangerous, no matter how cute or harmless looking the dog is. But Jennifer's still human, so cut her some slack because we all know that when it comes to our dogs, we're all a little overprotective.

Jennifer was right. Anyone can see her dog was nervous, holding her ears back, etc. Do not touch or pet someone's dog without asking a permission from the owner. That's really easy....

You know, the dog might've been tired and stressed from the travel and from the paparazzi that continually follow her around. To be honest, I *never* touch a dog unless I get permission. Even the cutest, fluffiest dog can bite. Heck, I have two cats, and *they* will bite if they're stressed. And c'mon, if her dog had bit the guy? She'd get sued. She's in a no win situation...snap at the guy for trying to pet your dog, catch ate. Having her dog bite him? She'd get sued. Man. Some people.

She didn't overreact. Always, always, get permission before trying to pet someones dog. A dog bite, even from a little dog, can end horribly for the dog. Many municipalities require that a dog bite can result in: The dog owner being charged with not controlling their dog. The dog being removed and quarantined until tests are done for disease. The dog owner being sued. The dog being euthanized as a "vicious" dog. No joke! Dogs will bite when threatened (with a lot of strangers milling around the confusion alone can make them nervous). And it may be a little dog, but those sharp teeth and powerful jaws can snap off a finger (even little dogs can bite that hard). The dog that bites, even though it is threatened often ends up being punished for some idiots inability to understand the basic rule. DON'T PET UNLESS YOU ASK AND ARE GIVEN UNEQUIVOCAL PERMISSION!

On one side, it is wise to ask permission before petting someone else's dog, as the dog may byte you or you can anger the owner. On the other side, no matter what anyone may or say to you, you should always be respectful, never use the f word or call the person loser.

So this is what passes for news these days? TMZ must be starving for stories if they are reporting something as lame as this. Who cares if some one tried to pet a dog and got rebuffed for his actions. It happens everyday. It's not like the dog tried to bite him or he was trying to hurt the little dog. TMZ is a huge waste of time to watch.

Mmmmmh, ok. So that's the biggest news of the day and it needs so much reactions because? Yeap, you don't touch someone dog without asking because it's safer for everyone that way. Yeap, you're totally in you're right to react when someone pat your pet without making sure this is OK. Does it need so many reactions defending both protagonists? Isn't that their buisness? Is that so important to make TMZ guy important and turn this non event to a big deal?

Honestly, I don't really care about Jennifer Lawrence in the first place so my answer is completely unbiased. I think that the paparazzi definitely should not have touched her dog without her consent because that is incredibly rude in a way. Although, I think Jennifer Lawrence also could have handled it better because he was just unknowingly petting a cute dog. But again, especially since he's following her around with a camera, and it could be dangerous; the dog may not have social qualities or who knows?!

I agree with her. If she had been engaging from the get go, which indicates she is in the mood to interact, that may have opened the door to ASK if he could pet the dog. But she wss clearly tired and while innocent enough I the reporters part, my reaction would have been the same as hers. My dogs are my kids and protecting them is number one to me.

It was definitely a 'b***h move' on her part. I'd be curious to see how'd she react to getting off an airplane, going out in public in any capacity, and NOT be approached by the paparazzi and fans. Yeah I fully realize that it probably got old quick, fast, and in a hurry, but that's the price of fame. She'll realize that when she becomes irrelevant, which in time, she will. First of all people need to take into account that she will be dealing with paparazzi for the rest of her long life. Do the people saying she is overreacting believe that her life is so perfect that she will always be in a good mood? Yes the papo may have approached the dog in a safe and innocent way but still should ask permission and still JLaw probably already felt like he did it to get a rise out of her.

She should have been paying more attention to her dog. He was being pulled behind her and was nervous about all of the feet and at one point even squatting down. She should have been carrying her dog knowing she would be facing all of the cameras and reporters. But I agree he should have asked before approaching her dog. But her name calling was unnecessary.

Don't touch my dogs without my permission. One reason- because you may get bitten. NEVER touch anyone's dog without clearance from the owner. Two- these are my children, and you wouldn't just touch my human child now, would you?

Im completely on her side, nobody has a right to tough someone elses pet unless theyre given permission. For all he knows the dog may not be friendly with strangers and could have bitten him. To some people its along the same boundary lines as touching someones baby. You wouldnt just go up to someone and try to touch or pick up their child without the parents consent, especially someone who clearly doesnt want to speak to them. If someone is ignoring you and you take it upon yourself to continue trying to interact with said person, they have ever right telling you to back the f**k up. She clearly didnt want to speak to him, and him still trying to pet her dog after that just screams "prying" to me. Especially for paparazzi, theyll do anything to continue an interaction with a celebrity for a story. It just makes their story even better when the celebrity gets frustrated by their harassment. She was obviously not wanting to interact with him, so he overstepped his boundaries.

And, if she was so upset about it, just act like a human, and not use the profanity and name calling. No respect. She put herself out there, she is a 'star', and should expect some of this. I'll watch TMZ from time to time. It's like watching live national enquirer. It's funny, shady as hell and pure entertainment. You do not take anything the national enquirer prints seriously, and you should do the same with TMZ. To which I will say, the dog did go up to the reporter and the reporter didn't try to pet it, but gave the back of his hand to smell. Her reaction was harsh and rude, but meh, aren't most of the hollyweird people anymore.

Some days I'm OK with it... Chelsea loves it... There r other days I want u to just not bother with me. I feel she maybe just had enough and u touching her dog without permission just set her off. I teach kids all the time to never pet a dog without asking for permission (my dog is 57 pounds of I Love To Jump On People). I once thought Jennifer Lawrence was cool, but lately she's come off more and more as a self centered b*tch. Her attitude toward this reporter seems to be her attitude toward anyone who isn't in the Actor's Guild. She was one step up from an extra until 2011 and she needs to remember where all of her wealth comes from. It was luck that landed her where she's at. She could be living out her life in a factory or a drive-thru window in KY. She should be thankful for what she has and not go around acting like such a snob. America's Sweetheart - Psshhtt!

I am with Jennifer on this. What if her dog was not very friendly and nipped him or he scared it and it bit out of defense. It is always proper to ask before touch a dog that does not belong to you.

I'm a crazy dog mom. HOWEVER...that pup walked up and displayed interest in him, so he put out the back of his hand. Totally an appropriate greeting. If someone did that to one of my dogs I'd be perfectly fine with it. She was obviously just cranky from the flight.

That dog was terrified and on overload. That guy didn't want to pet her dog, he wanted a reaction and got it. He is a loser.

And after watching the video, I'd like to add that you can see the dog's immediate reaction: fear. Head down, tail tucked. The "reporter" is an idiot.

Although she could have used slightly better language (she was probably just tired), I agree with her sentiments. I teach kids all the time to never pet a dog without asking for permission (my dog is 57 pounds of I Love To Jump On People). If the dog (also tired?) had bitten him, he'd have tried to sue her, guaranteed. Some dogs don't like being petted, and most don't like being petted on the head.

I don't even know who Jennifer Lawrence is, but I would probably have said and done worse to some stranger touching my dog without asking. I can't watch TMZ it is completely annoying and makes no sense whatsoever. It's designed for that pre-teen little girl magazine, Tiger Beat or something like that.

Two things you don't touch without explicit permission: Someone else's pet and any Black person's hair.

I don't think the guy should have made an attempt to touch her dog, but her reaction was very rude. Both people could have handled the situation better.

NEVER touch a strange dog, and NEVER touch an animal without the owner's permission. How stupid do you have to be not to know that? She said the same thing I would have...but she was more polite about it than I would have been.

I agree with Jennifer here. I've got a 4 month old corgi and EVERYONE in the park simply come to us and pet him without asking me! I really consider teaching him to bite all those stupid strangers, because warnings (I simply tell them he bites, even though it's not true, I'm a good liar) don't help. They look at me with a trollish face and say "Really?", as though they doubt I know my own dog! It's pretty annoying. If anyone here does so to strangers' dogs, just stop it!

TMZ is mentally vacant garbage, for mentally vacant people. That having been said, how is Jennifer Lawrence "Hollywood's sweetheart"? She's a boring, average, suburban white girl with zero talent. I would be annoyed at being stalked by some feckless TMZ twit, but I'd also be perfectly happy never seeing this boring woman on any type of screen, ever again.

While she could have used slightly better language, she's correct to jump on him. Didn't anyone ever teach him to never try to pet a dog without asking permission? She and her dog were undoubtedly tired; if the dog had bitten him out of fear or surprise, he'd have tried to sue her. And dogs dislike being petted on the head. Really.

I've always felt Jennifer Lawrence wasn't as nice as she wants people to think she is. Sure it may be rude to just reach out and pat someone's dog, but she didn't have to call him "a f*cking loser".

I have 2 dogs. And I like it when people want to pet them. Hello!! that's their job: Be cute, friendly and make people happy. I think people who freak out over other petting their dogs/cats, are over reacting. PEOPLE: dogs are animals, not children. No matter how much you pamper them and buy them things they don't need.. THEY ARE PETS, NOT KIDS.

She is nasty-mouthed sociopath, strange but show-business seems to breed them at an undisclosed location. That being said, most if not all dogs are very protective of their humans, and even the cutest smaller pups will take a hunk out you for invading their space. Witness the cute little characters called "wiener dogs" Dachshunds - are well-known for their propensity to
