Jason Momoa Shames Chris Pratt For Single-Use Plastic, Someone Digs Up A Pic And Tries To Call Out Jason Momoa
Jason Momoa has become quite the environmentalist. Raising money for cleaning up the coastline, giving speeches at the United Nations… He’s done a lot. But he isn’t done yet.
The 40-year-old actor continues his fight against plastic, calling out Chris Pratt on Instagram for drinking bottled water. In one of his recent uploads, Pratt posed in a gym setting wearing workout clothes, however, he was also holding a plastic bottle, which the ocean activist noticed.
Chris Pratt just posted a photo of himself in an Amazon promotion

And while some were pointing out his toned down physique
Jason Momoa was quick to point out its major environmental flaw

Canned water is having quite the moment in the U.S. Liquid Death, from former Netflix executive Mike Cessario, has raised $1.6 million in seed funding, with the tagline “Murder your thirst.” It’s a breakout hit, inviting people to drink water out of a tallboy beer can.
Jason Momoa, on the other hand, introduced Mana Nalu and even shaved his iconic Khal Drogo beard to bring attention to oceanic plastic.
Recently Momoa starred in this PSA where he literally punched out this plastic bottle out of the guys hands

He’s been known for speaking against single-use plastic and environmental disasters

People noticed and praised the ‘Aquaman’
Some, however, thought Momoa was being a hypocrite and posted this pic:
While others defended him saying he’s come a long way since then
In response, Pratt wrote, “Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug around with me too. I even had it that day!!!”
“If I remember correctly somebody threw that plastic bottle to me in the photo shoot cause I didn’t know what to do with my hands!” Pratt said. “I never know what to do with my hands! So uncomfortable. For real tho. Love you too buddy. My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.”
After the situation drew so much attention, Momoa explained his point in greater detail

Share on FacebookJust digging out pictures hardly makes a point. You will find pictures you could call hypocrite of the greatest ethics leads, unless, maybe, they are asketic monks. The point was that the original picture was a promotional one, and if you put attention to the smallest details, you should replace a water bottle by a reusable one. Not more, and not less.
And honestly, I feel like people who dig in the past are the real hypocrites. If your argument is forcing an old fact that's not relevant in the present anymore, then it's nule.
Load More Replies...I'm not supporting the use of plastic bottles, however in some situations it might be difficult to avoid it completely. So in some countries, like Germany we have a deposit fee on plastic and glass bottles. When you buy a plastic bottle you pay 25 cents extra, and when you return it you will receive your money back. Most people therefore tend to return the bottles, or people will gather those bottles and bring them back for extra cash. This ensures that most plastic bottles in Germany are being recycled, last info I found from 2018 stated that 90% of plastic bottles are being recycled in Germany.
Certain states in the US do that. it's usually 5 or 10 cents, but the same principal.
Load More Replies...to be honest plastic bottles can be multi-use, i bought mine because of size and refilled it multiple times already over the years, like it because it's lighter than multiple use glass or metal ones
Except those bottles weren't tested for multi-use, so as they degrade, you may be ingesting chemicals.

If you don't spend every waking moment solving world hunger, tackling climate change, demanding equal pay, promoting veganism and running through forest fires to save a koala, you're a scum bag. Also when you do sleep, make sure you don't eat a spider your animal slaughtering SOB.
Here's the thing though. Had Pratt had a reusable bottle in his hand, no one... absolutely no one, least of all Momoa, would have commented on it. None of this artificial bruhaha would have happened.
Ya Jason. You should be ashamed of your self. Are you the perfect person . Never did anything wrong. Well, let me tell you Jason. The only perfect person I ever met, was a perfect asss hole.
i think its not the plastic bottle is the problem.. its the recolletcing and recycle part are the problem
Ofcourse he is a stupid hipocrite. Your big hero. Let him first to ged rid all plastic from his car, home and work. And his pathetic movies should be recorded on wooden cameras.
Considering all the flights and PLASTIC TOYS in his image ,Jason is a hypocrite. What has Moama changed in his life. This is an empty gesture for publicity.
Gotta start somewhere. And there are a lot more plastic water bottles used every day, which are easy to replace with resuable bottles, than there are toys.
Load More Replies...Because you get thirsty in the big city? Anyway, I tend to reuse my plastic bottles by refilling them with new water and I do so until they start smelling funny. I don't need to do that as much anymore, though, since I spend most time in the office and we have water dispensers.
