As a native Swede and white protestant (atheist actually...) and mainly as a woman I see the so called question about the burkini as a feminist matter. The burkini provides freedom to swim, and also learning how to swim too, to the women who wears them so to ban it would be anti-feminist. And that's the first reason to why I care. I have finally figured out why bigotry bothers me so much. I have lot better reasons for hating somebody than religion, color, etc. Bullies, child molesters, rapists, murderers, animal abusers, etc. come in all religions, colors, etc. Bigots just cheapen my well deserved hate.
