This TikTok Video Comparing iPhone And Android Speed In Real Time Is Going Viral
InterviewThere are cat people and dog people. No questions about that. Then, there are dark and white chocolate people (milk choco eaters stand in the middle.) And just like that, there are iPhone’s iOs and Android loyalists who have been divided since the dawn of time. Or rather, since 2007 when Steve Jobs released Apple’s first iconic smartphone sold in 6.1 million units.
The debate on which one is better and faster has been leaving family members torn apart at the Thanksgiving table, and lovers turning in opposite directions after realizing they’re not meant for each other.
And one TikTok user decided to run an experiment and measure the speed of Android and iPhone. Corylewis04’s video, which has been watched 2.6 million times, left Android users cheering loudly because, well, the result is kinda obvious. Will it end the everlasting debate, or simply add fuel to the burning fire? Time will tell, but I’m suspecting the latter.
This TikTok video showing the speed of iPhone and Android in real time has been going viral

The TikTok user decided to put the common claim that “Androids are slow” to the test and here’s how he did it

Bored Panda reached out to the TikToker Cory Lewis, who said the idea to make the now-viral Android vs. iPhone speed comparison came as he “got tired of iPhone users telling me that Androids were slow and laggy, so I decided to show them otherwise.”
In the short footage, Cory showed what opening the same apps simultaneously on iOS and Android operating systems looks like. Android seemed to be responding much quicker than iOS, which debunked the common myth.
Cory also said that he personally would go with Android. The guy, who runs a YouTube channel “Cory The Great” where he reviews all kind of phones on camera, confessed that “I didn’t expect it to go viral at all” and is more than happy with the result.

The debate on which mobile phone is better, Android or iPhone, has been on and off, I mean on, for over a decade. That’s some serious dominance by the two big tech boys, but in reality, both iOS and Android operating systems are excellent. In order to find out which one performs better, one has to look at particular parameters and start from there.
According to Digital Trends, if you can’t make up your mind, you should “pick the things that matter most to you, count the wins in those categories, and you have a personalized recommendation.”

For example, affordability is always one of the most important things to think about before buying a phone. “Apple’s iOS is an exceptional operating system, but the high entry point has always been an issue for it,” suggests Digital Trends.
In fact, even if Apple’s iPhone SE and iPhone 11 have finally made the entry point lower, it still doesn’t come close to Android’s vast range of much more affordable devices.
When it comes to apps, Digital Trends counted that there are 2.7 million Android apps and 1.8 million iOS apps. Bear in mind that most popular apps operate on both systems. Moreover, the Play Store offers more free apps than the App Store, making iOS somewhat of the winner in this department.

Digital Trends suggests that even if “Google Maps would win this category hands-down,” Apple Maps have become a serious competitor with many improvements.
“Right now, Google Maps still has a small advantage due to its larger database of reviews and businesses,” concluded the report and added: “but its lead has narrowed a lot, and we expect to see this category fall into being a tie eventually.”
In the end, it’s always best to be open and listen to various points of view before making a decision on which phone to get. Think of what matters to you the most, and try to look at which device’s specific features give the best performance.
And people could not miss a chance to join the Android vs iPhone debate

The person in the comments claiming they have to buy new phone after a year cause they cant handle a lag.... Thanks to you, poor 93year old David Attenborough still has to make documentaries telling us how we suck.
I would love to see that person's daily usage. I have owned Androids ranging from cheapest to high-end flavor of the month and never had any behave badly just in a year.
Load More Replies...To be honest, I prefer Android since it's cheaper than Apple. I have been using the same phone since 2015 and it still works great. My friend's been considering switching to Android after his iPhone went all wonky (with a blue screen, weird flashing lights) when he updated it. I'm okay with Apple, but their recent phones aren't that good for me.
Grета Jaruševičiūtė , you really need to stop using that word...
Load More Replies...I prefer not-Apple for my electronics simply because I don't believe in paying extra for the Apple logo. I'm not into designer brands either.
Me too. I understand about the brand image and that's generally good. However personally it's too obnoxious for me. I can't stand bringing a gadget with Apple logo on it, because people will instantly assumed that I am rich and took things for granted, I'm living well but I don't need that stigma in my consciousness. As long I am as smart as my smartphones therefore can do as much things as iPhone users can do, I'm good.
Load More Replies...So I now know that I've been having to wait up to 0.05 of second more than iPhone users? No wonder my life has been absolute hell for all these years..........
Android was on the left. I had to rewatch the first 2 seconds 8 times to get a screenshot showing 'Say "Hey Google"' to figure that out, so I hope someone can benefit from that! (Your joke is still valid, just from the iPhone users POV).
Load More Replies...I really don't care which phone is faster. I do care about ease of use, safety, protecting my privacy and personal data and being free to do with my phone what I want. In all of these Apple falls short in comparison with any Android phone.
This is what in science is referred to as "anecdotal evidence". It is essentially worthless. There is not even a proper setup of the experiment. It is not reproducible, and it on top compares apples to oranges. Besides, who claims that a top-end Android phone would be less responsive than an iOS model? I have never heard this claim, likely because it does not make sense.
It's not even anecdotal evidence, it's a flat-out biased experiment. I don't care about this silly OS war, but all such post do is to add more confusion. This doesn't tell me that either and Android or iPhone is better, it just tells me that the poster has an agenda.
Load More Replies...Android is an OS not a phone, you need to compare similar model phones, based on specs like processors, some Android ones are better and some are now. That simple
All these "experts" chiming in yet none point this important fact out. I just kinda' check out when people start arguing about which is better. Seriously folks it's just a phone you shouldn't be this passionate about it.
Load More Replies...As an It professional I prefer Android as I can access the actual operating system and program it like I want (provider can disable FM Antenna as much as they want, I re-enable it) I can remove all the unnecessary crap I don't want that providers add, like Facebook and Instagram I also added extra reminders for low batteries...
As a former wireless switching tech and also holder of a 2nd class FCC Radio Telephone license, I can read and understand the specs listed for both the Android and Apple based phones. My own personal phone is Android based with a VPN app being one of the first apps I added after getting the phone. I also removed/deleted any application I had no use for. I also do a weekly house cleaning to remove the junk data on the phone. It doesn't usually take too long as I do not do a lot of internet activity on my phone. I also have yet to exceed my allotted talk time every month.
Load More Replies...hahaha I can relate so much to this people are always telling me that iPhones are better and that I should get one
Yh lyk WTF am living a phone fantasy with my Android phone soooo happy with it
Load More Replies...Android phones turn slow? Hahaha, LOL, nope. You TAKE CARE of your phone same as you do with your oPC. I have BlackBerry phone for past 4 years now, it has not slowed down a bit in comparision to day one out of box. Why? Because I take care of it - I remove crap, cookies, temp files etc. iOS is for people who are tech idiots, sorry guys, like the phone you'd give to your granny so she wouldn't broke anything or block it on her own. If you can do anything more than just on/off, & open TikTok - Android OS is better solution for you, as you can make it a custom fit system. Also - tons of free apps for Android :P And we still get charger and earphones with our mobile phones :P
These apple vs android debates are so frustrating. Different phones work for different people. I used an apple and an android phone at one point of time and preferred the apple because it was more convenient. I also have an old iPhone 5 and a Lenovo phablet, both of which have been sitting in a drawer for 2-3 years, unused. I recently needed a phone for a music playlist and so I picked the android (because more space) but it was slow as hell. I deleted every single app, cleared cache and it was still lagging. It would take 7-9 seconds to open up music or even load YouTube. The iPhone 5 was next and it turned on well and was pretty decent. But again, no contest, because who cares really?
I honestly don’t care that much but the hardcore apple fans bug me a bit. They appear to be enabling apple to do all kinds of crazy crap that other companies would not be able to get away with.
I mean, iPhones have a lot of shenanigans and special aesthetic details so they are much slower. They also have quite a bit of background programs which makes them slower but gives you that iPhone experience. Androids are somewhat less complicated and therefore have more CPU to load stuff.
Which one is the iphone and which one is the android ? May looks strange, but I never owned an iPhone, and I can't differentiate them among other smartphones...
The only way this comparison can be real is if the iPhone is old and not the high end model. And the Android phone is brand new out of the box. I've had Android phones since the very first Droid. But I have an iPhone 10 now because I got completely sick of how all the Android phones slow way down after about 6 months.
I'm starting to wonder if the fact that messages are bright green, and you can't add people to group chats when their is an Android involved, is a strategy to get more people to buy Iphones. Also, just get what every phone suits you best. I have had an Iphone six, that work great for me. And also not all androids are good. I have a couple friends who had Motorolas, and they were exceptionally slow. And got a lot of spam calls and they all got had problems with their numbers not working. But on the other had, my friend has a Samsung, that is way nicer than my phone, and has all of the features of an Iphone X.
Well they are some android phone that have the clarity to take pictures like IOS and to be honest no one mention the battery life.... I mean the worst battery shelf life is dat of IOS we all know how u keep charging ur iOS phone after some few minutes i rather go for Samsung
Here I am thinking thats iPhone X compared with a much recent android phone from the year this video was made
I still prefer my IPhone idk androids seems supper unorganized and cluttered just the way it’s set up...
Everyone needs to just calm the heck down. People will get what the hell they want, and should just be happy with what they have instead of trying to make other people feel bad for not having the same thing. VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE!!!
Apple phones are not bad but some Apple users are douches and their company has become a polished turd.
I have an android for my everyday use and an apple for my drone, and I can guarantee the android is faster,I can take a nap and take a shower by the time the apple boots up
I compared a new iPhone to my android yesterday and the iPhone is significantly faster.
And then there's privacy. According to The Privacy, Security and OSINT blog and podcast, out of the box, iPhone is the better choice among bad choices when it comes to privacy. Google is an ad company, with 83% of its revenue coming from ads. Their business model relies on the collection all the data they can about their users, so that they can sell ad spots. Apple collects my data - for the improvement of devices and software. They are a hardware company after all. Next, what is an Android phone? Sony, Nokia, Samsung, LG, OnePlus Huawei,... all these and more? Android is faster? Which ones? All of them? Equally? I'm not a fanboy. I have an iPhone now, after 5 Androids. I was lucky if I got one full OS update. Which Androids will get the promised 3 years of OS support? Only the Pixel, their flagship brand? And with the issue of privacy, I may never return to Android.
I don't care which smartphone everyone uses, the requirements and expectations are too different for that. We can be happy that there is a large selection and not an absolute monopoly. I myself like the flexibility and freedom of an Android - exactly in terms of privacy. I can almost completely detach myself from Google and host many things myself via my owncloud and similar services. Admittedly, this is of course nothing for the average user, but it's the perfect solution for me.
Load More Replies...Can we just talk about the fact that Android works just as well as Apple, and it's less breakable. I drop my android phone at least 3-4 times a day, and it doesn't have a single crack. So you can always tell me that an iphone might be better but I will always stick with android.
I've had the same Samsung phone for nearly 6 years... the only thing I've had to replace is the battery. If it aint broke, don't fix it. Who has over $800 to spend on a stupid phone every year or two?? Waste of money.
If it wasn’t for all my pictures, videos, and subscriptions I’d probably switch to an android, but well convenience
After countless and pointless Sinclair vs C64, Amiga vs PC, PC vs console, Xbox vs Playstation, Canon vs Nikon and so on and so on wars, could we kee this s**t out from here. Please. :)
Google paid for all online work from home from $ 16,000 to $ 32,000 per month. The more youthful sibling was jobless for a quarter of a year and a month prior her check was $ 32475, working at home for 4 hours per day, and procuring could be much greater… ..So I started…….https://xurl.es/gxy1b
