These 8 Paintings Are Filled With Easter Eggs That Are Only Visible When You Zoom In
American artist Craig Alan is famous for creating works of art that are more than your average portrait. He creates unique oil paintings of pop-culture icons whose visage, at first glance, appears to be composed of tiny pixels. However, if you take a closer look, you will realize that these intricate drawings are made of dozens, sometimes hundreds of tiny exquisite figures.
Alan carefully plans his detailed drawings and spends copious amounts of time creating each tiny figure. Each character has their own identity and personality which he has thought through to the smallest detail – all with microscopic clothes, faces, and shadows. Sometimes he even adds a personal touch to these easter eggs and paints caricatures of his family members and friends. The finished figures then culminate to form spectacular and mesmerizingly unique artworks.

just incredible. What the artist does on the head of a pin, I could never do on a whole canvas.
see these are the things that take time and effort. they are clearly beautiful, and they emanate a message that everyone can appreciate. but then you see the modern art that is placed in art museums and you wonder how something so effortless outstripped these masterpieces. (not to step on any toes with this, its just my long-held pet peeve)
These are unbelievable. The level of detail on the tiny figures, with shadows as well, is such an incredible showcase of the artists skill.
QUESTION. I love Bored Panda for the art posts specifically... but why is it often the user Hidreley and not the artist him/herself posting these ? I huge majority of these posts...
Between this and the Bob Ross post, I'm feeling better about humans in general. This is why I come to Bored Panda!
