Apple has just unveiled its brand new smart home speaker, and it instantly became a meme. The supposedly great-sounding product has a lot of awesome features, but the one that caught internet's attention the most was its striking similarity to... a roll of toilet paper.
The $350 HomePod, according to Apple, combines the rich audio quality of Sonos speakers with the 'brains' of Siri. This means the gadget is not only capable of playing music; it can also dim the lights in a room when users talk to it as well.
The device won't be available to purchase until later this year, so it's still too early to compare it to its rivals Amazon Echo ($180) and Google Home ($109). One thing is for sure, though. After HomePod's introduction at this year's Worldwide Developer Conference, people wasted no time in posting hilarious reactions to it on the internet.
