They benefit from high altitude, a culture which values good runners and an unusually high percentage of their muscle mass is posture muscle (endurance) rather than twitch (strength). I’m swedish and this is true. Here it is nearly as traditional as christmas trees.
Sweden here, can really confirm! No happy christmas without "Donald and hos friends", the original 40+year old version. All attemts from state television to cut it or remove part cause tears and riots.
It's not the original version we watch here in Sweden. Disney chose to edit out a few scenes from "Santa's workshop" a couple of years ago and while people for some (to me unimaginable) reason protested Disney did it anyway. The only changes we have had any impact on is when SVT has tried to stop showing the program.

American here and on Christmas Day they show “a Christmas story” back to back for 24 hours on at least 2 channels. Don’t shoot your eye out.
My brother just watches Micky mouse Christmas special every year (I'm English)
Germany watches some crazy 1920s drunk waiter film and millions of the rest of us watch Die Hard.
In USA we watch "It's A Wonderful Life" which was a flop when it was first released.
As a soon to be 30 year old, me my Mother, my 27 year old brother, and uncle we watched it. No children at all.. Before gramps were there to, and all of US had separete favorit parts :D

Oh I think the Roman days one is gone. Or maybe I didn't look properly lol now I'm gna check again :D
In other words, unlike modern times where one day is 24 hours, a winter day would require fewer hours from beginning to end than a summer day. This is because a day started at dawn and ended at dusk
