They benefit from high altitude, a culture which values good runners and an unusually high percentage of their muscle mass is posture muscle (endurance) rather than twitch (strength). Funnily on the west coast of Africa (the ultimate origin of many Jamaicans) the twitch/posture ratio is reversed, which makes for very good sprinters and other sports requiring explosive power.
Australia's diameter is 600km wider than the moon's. The moon sits at 3400km in diameter, while Australia's diameter from east to west is almost 4000km.
A good stance, but difficult to execute due to pressure from the school and classmates, I would assume.
Did the same with my brood - Condition was if they could afford the cost of having one, then go for it. They never had issues with their peers; quickly got in to part time jobs at their legal ages; and have never been abusive to their phones/costs - best ultimatum ever!
Load More Replies...He also denyed that he was his first daughter's father, and even when it was proven by DNA, he was only paying $500/month in child support when he was a multimilionaire. So ... Not sure we need parenting advice from him.
Eh, IT is a fantastic tool for creating great products/content. I also think that it shouldn't be anyone's - especially a kid's - sole or even main entertainment source, either. People, nature, and your own self (lol, to the extent that you can stand it...) should (in theory at any rate) take precedence. There's a place in a balanced life for both IT and "non-IT".
Not sure how I feel about this. We use iPads in our house to write books, animate movies, read comics, research, and take classes. I don't feel like that is a waste of time. I see it as a tool and tools can be used for good or not so great ways.
Thank you! Been trying to tell these things for ages. Good to see there's more rational people out there.
Load More Replies...That is so hypocritical! Gets the world addicted to his product but doesn't let his own kids suffer the same fate.
Lol I said the same thing and got 6 downvotes. Confused pandas :p
Load More Replies...Care to provide some examples. I know many, many people with iPads/tablets. None of whom have been "ruined" (in any sense) by using them.
Load More Replies...That's like saying the inventor of chocolate cake doesn't think his kids should just eat chocolate cake or a maker of whisky saying he doesn't want his kids to drink it.
He knows what a prick technology is. He is just spoiling others to get the money
Steve jobs had one kid and she was well into adulthood when the ipad came out and had a strained relationship with Steve most of her life so this "fact" is very false
He knew the possible damage they could impose. Honestly so much garbage on the internet your kids can stumble across it's horrifying. My kids both have tablets and I have to watch them while they use them because freaky stuff pops up. Outside time is so much better but I allow it for resting time
"Steve" was very wise & (like the entire industry) he already knew about all the dangers of possible over-stimulation of all those addiction receptors we have in our brains. Especially all younger generations will have to face some real issues in the future. You think the current USofMurica-opioid crisis is an big issue......? You have seen nothing yet.
Yeah, Steve died in 2011. Given the exponential influence of tech in our lives, limiting screen-time 12yrs ago is very different than now.
Smart parenting. Go outside and get dirty! Hell, half the time our parents didn't even know where we were. If we weren't home within a few minutes of the streetlights coming on, THEN they paid attention.
Smart man. It pitiful seeing all the younger people wandering around with their noses in their phones.
Only if they'd been invented specifically for children. They weren't.
Load More Replies...Technology is the collection of techniques, skills, methods, and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. He was pretty cruel, then. I presume you mean ICT.
I once saw a document about sloths. One of them fell in the water, where an aligator was. But He manage to swim away *mindblow*!!!!

Load More Replies...Oh I think the Roman days one is gone. Or maybe I didn't look properly lol now I'm gna check again :D
In other words, unlike modern times where one day is 24 hours, a winter day would require fewer hours from beginning to end than a summer day. This is because a day started at dawn and ended at dusk
