Genetics is an exact science. Making babies is not an exact science. You never know know what you'll get when you randomly mix a man and woman's dna together.
somebody clearly does not understand genetics, you are not an exact copy of one or even both parents, you have elements of many generations.
Like many others I wondered in passing if he was the biological father, but the congruence of a number of facial features means that he very likely is. The height disparity is not entirely inexplicable - there could be recessive genes involved that were modified by the mother's contribution, and there may be dietary/faminedisease issues in the father's childhood (or, through epigenetics, in the grandparents' life histories) that have dictated the father's height. Genetics and inheritace are wonderful things...
Well, actually, your height difference shows that there is a lot of ways they can be expressed. Wow, what a silly thing to say!
Hm, I wonder why hasn't anyone pointed out how similar their mouths, especially lower lip and its shadow, and even eye areas are? But especially that mouth area altogether is very similar in both. And who knows, either one of them could have a syndrome affecting his height, for example. But well, to see some positive in this: I do see some similarities.
Either his mom is really tall.. or he could have growth hormone prob, maybe Marfan's syndrome? Who knows.
I'm sure I'll be criticised but please believe I mean no offence, it's just my sense of humour and also because I just read the article about this as well - but I wouldn't be trying those ancestry DNA kits if I was them! I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself lol

I just noticed, besides the difference in height, dad has male pattern baldness and son doesn't (yet).
Why the thumbsdown on everybody saying thats not his dad? How do you know he is and the wife didnt have an affair? This happens more than you would think. There were cases of a man that had 9 kids, from which none were his. Yes, it is very likely he isnt his biological father.
It is more likely that it is just recessive genes. There is something distasteful about speculating about infidelity in a family we know nothing about without evidence.
