Italians are the original dysfunctional family: They can make fun of themselves, but heaven help anyone who makes of them. :)

Nothing, but hungarians believe the scottish to be extremly tight with spending money, to an unhealthy level. Like a basic hungarian joke about scottish people: Scott goes to doctor and tells (painful, distorted speech): please help me, I got a splinter of wood in my tongue. The doctor: whaaaat? Scott: well, a drop of my whiskey fell to the floor...

That's because there are effectively (at least) two italies. North and South. They each have jokes about the others.

Hungarian here. Our jokes thing that Scottish people don't like to spend money, so all the jokes about cases where a Scottish person doesn't want to spend, or if someone doesn't want to spend money, they say this person is "so Scottish". This is nearly similar like the "talking in Italian" joke with the hand sign. Anyway, we have many jokes about other nations too, but most of them are more like some part of a nation, like "Székely" (Szekler (?)), or jokes about blonde women, cops, gypsy people, and so on. These are really old jokes anyway, and most of them are racist or sexist, so many of us don't like these jokes at all, but sadly, many people still laugh at these. :( But yes, looks like we really joke much about Scottish people. :O

We actually have a lot of jokes starting: an Englishman, a French and an Italian...

I don't think it's correct. We always make fun of carabinieri (a sort of police force), suggesting they are all dumb. We also joke a lot about French people. A very popular kind of joke starts like this: "There's a Frenchman, a German man and an Italian man...". And the jokes basically implies that the Frenchman and the German fella are stupid/coward, while the Italian man is smart, cunning and he always prevails in the end.

Being a Hungarian I also wonder why we have so many jokes about Scots.

Also the Scottish deserve to be made fun of for choosing the union over independence (ooh, this is gonna hurt, go easy on me, no eye-poking 😆)

I should add, I haven't heard an Irish joke in several decades. They became very non-PC in the 90s. Even Guinness had to stop using Irish stereotypes in its marketing.

Okay the worst Danish swear word for Swede is Swede in Danish.

Lol! A Finn, Swede, Norwegian, British and American are in a plane. Suddenly the plane starts to shake and the pilot shouts, we need to lighten the load. Someone needs to jump. The British shouts: "for the Queen" and jumps. Pilot says it's not enough, someone else must go. American jumps and shouts "for Uncle Sam". Not enough says the pilot, one more must go. Norwegian and Finn glance eachother, shout "for Nordic cooperation" and throw the Swede out of the plane.

The Swede jokes in Finland are often the same, only that in them it is of course you guys that are the dumb ones. 😄

I can understand the "dumb" jokes but how do you justify Norwegians looking low prices in Sweden, literally everything is cheap for them there :D and they have the money
