Anyway, getting rid of using animals as living reactors to produce things is a method bound to be extinct once we're able to grow stuff in actual, artifical, reactors - will be a lot more efficient while we can't afford inefficient processery anymore even today, and once no one has to close their eyes to the cruety anymore to maintain their lifestyle and self image, a lot less eyes will no more be closed in that direction, leading to an increase in demand and a decrease in demand towards actual animal products.

I'm a leather worker and this is misleading. Though catus leather is exciting, and eco-conconcious, leather is a by-product of the meat industry. The animals have already been slaughtered for food, and leather production just makes sure as much of the animal is going to use as possible. Cattle is not killed just for fashion, that's wrong. Besides most leather is produced for protective material.
They have additives they add to the cactus mush, they don't state what they are.
