Shame on you for spreading such ridiculous untruths. I do agree that the fawn should not be disturbed or touched unless it has obvious injuries. The doe will return for her fawn after she has finished foraging.
Don't disturb! Mama is out eating and baby knows to stay put until her return.
Mom must have gone to fill her belly. She needs to fend her baby while feeding the baby properly Poor moms have no choice. It's very difficult task to bring up a baby animal in a jungle...God help these wild creatures...
The mother is not far away and will return to her baby...unless some hunter ended her life.
They do that a lot while I'm working, which sucks because their momma can be very vicious, BUT I get to take lots of pics!!
*If* they see the fawn in time, my family stops the combine and chases it away. Yeah, it saves the animal's life, but it also prevents animal guts from getting mixed in with the harvest!
It's true that you should leave them alone entirely, but the entire human scent thing is a complete myth.

Heartbroken at this level of littering/pollution/disregard... I've seen crazy things in the woods, no doubt, but when it's obvs just trash? *argh*
Some of these need to be brought to the attention of the authorities, some are too cute to remove, and some need to be explained! (Like the pile of carrots, dishes, and toilets.)
Most of these things make me wonder how they got there. And I don't mean the trash, but the other ones. There must be a story behind them, and I wonder about the people who put them there. That's why I also like to see photos of abandoned places.
I live close to a former motorcross track in Belgium that's been closed for a few years now. Passing by one day I noticed this tree. Looks like they threw used tyres over it when it was still a very young tree and now they're part of it. Knipsel-5d...ec4d3f.jpg 
Inexplicably, I found a kayak graveyard in the middle of a forest in Wellington, New Zealand. At least 100 old kayaks, many kilometres from the nearest body of water. High and dry, growing moss and mould. kayaks-5d1...2d80f1.jpg
